I can use normal maps for stuff like indents, headlight detail, etc, but not for a grille, it's hollow. Also I'm keeping the poly count as low as possible, the bars have only 3 sides. So far I've made the rear fenders, windows, roof and bonnet and the total poly count (including the unfinished grille) is about 3,200 quads. Considering Gabester's vehicles have 50-60k, I don't think I'll really exceed that.
Couldn't you use textures with alpha transparency, like how a lot of the vegetation works? spewing art jargon in a way I hope is correct
I love the live axle version. The independent suspension one looks sort of odd... But why not both? - - - Updated - - - I could if the grille was flat. Look at an E30's grille and you'll see what I'm talking about, I have to model the dividing bars, not to mention the BMW kidney grille.
Thanks, I'm thinking if I can go with both. I'm not too sure it's possible in jbeam. If so then I'll do both. Btw that independent suspension isn't mine design, it's one that I sort found and got advice from. It's one I modified.
Mmm, that's nice. Can actually recognize the master cylinder, can see a coolant line running to the heater core. Blower motor and housing is dare, wiper motor is there, can see some relays and sheeit on the passenger side wheel well there, looks good.
Sexy, looks like a more sporty version with those wheel covers I have this. It's based off a HEMMT, but it's not going to be one of them. I remade the whole cab, improved the frame and some details. Once I get the frame done, I will start building a Jbeam for it
Many frames, low poly.... Something I put together. (imported from here) @Imightfindsomethingtodo with this.......# Maybe a transit?
Well I was using the base off the 2015 Ford Transit Connect. But I'll change things around a little. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
Neato Name could be Hollandais Conqueror. Oh, and maybe make an off-road version? Just suggestions btw.
I'm Modeling this for a different game, but I'll throw it in BNG as well. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk - - - Updated - - - New bumper?
Yes. He also just modelled this as a straight up ladder frame: The transit connect uses the ford C170 platform originally used in the ford focus.
So... how did you attach the bumper to the rest of the car then? Cos it looks like you used some u-bolt things from some leaf springs or something.
