Update Speculation thread

You know I bet that one of the map updates will have some graffiti that says "GIB BUBU sucks" or something like that.

 

My bet for the update is around August 27th, solely because the end of summer lines up with the update schedule and that's when Wreckfest is releasing their update, so... competition and all...

I suspect the update will be early/mid August similar to 0.10. For example, an August 15 update would be 104 days from 0.16, which is a bit longer than average.

 

I mean I know it's getting closer but I feel like updating around the time people go back into school would be kinda ouch since you know, a ton of people wouldn't be able to play it including myself

 

You go back to school in the middle of august?

 

I go back the 13th. It all depends on when you get out.

 

I go back to school on the 17th and if it updated then I'd be completely hecked on playing for 5 days

 

I've found that on the east coast, the northeast goes back in September, while the Southeast goes back in August. I may be wrong, but it does change.

 

Around where I live it really depends on the school district. Some people get out mid to late May (like me), and some people get out mid July

 

From my experience, the US is a mess with when schools have summer break (at all education levels). US school schedules are just too inconsistant to try and pull something like that.

 

Also, the first day of school is something of dread rather than a holiday.

I still firmly stand by my estimate of early/mid August.

 

NY here, some schools I've been to are last week of August, some are first week of September.

 

NY here too, mostly early September for my entire region.

We should get back on topic though. I say there's a 50% chance the Bluebuck will come next update. It appears somewhat complete, but both the Hopper and Autobello were teased and not released in the next update.

 

I would be very surprised if we see the Bluebuck before fall semester. There's only been one teaser, and the only way to get the car out this early would probably be to ship it with very little content like the LeGran is. For such an anticipated, important, and long development time vehicle (first shown +6 years ago), this really should be pushed to the next update and ship with a lot of content.

 

It has been in-game since February of this year, which is 6 months from my estimated release date, so who knows?

I still say it's 50/50.

 

I mean, before the Autobello/Italy we've been lacking the sort of content updates from a few years back, so it would be nice to get one vehicle within 7-8 months of the last. Plus, The Bluebuck should share it's engines/transmissions with the Barstow, with the addition of a 3 speed manual that can be taken from a different vehicle, and hopefully a period-correct 2 speed automatic.

 

somebody could definetely make gaga bubu a mod for it when it comes out, they can cut the car in half and copy the front end again and put on the bacvk facing backward
