Unrealistic Damage Penetration?

    A 15mph crash to a pole damages the radiator of the Awful. However the front "bumper" only bend very slightly.

    As shown in the picture, the radiator deformed more than the front guard.

    Perhaps the game does not have time to calculate all the collisions. The frequency of physics is too low.

    15MPH is not that fast. Nor 2000Hz is that low for frequency to miss that.

    If the pole is thin enough, it could go in-between the nodes (which are the only things that collide with static objects).

    That looks like your case, you might have hit something that thin that it went through the frontguard.

    On a sensibly-sized pole things works as meant:

    (radiator not damaged)
