It will be cool if we had an autopilot for the SRB4 eSRB like tesla's autodrive mode.
I'm aware of the IA but a more realistic implementation in the vehicle will be awesome.
And if sometimes you have plenty of time (I know it will never happened), an autopilot that works with sensors and camera and not with path will be perfect.

you can kinda use the AI to a similar effect.

it'd just be the AI with a destination and a speed limit/cruise control

Yeah, it's kinda a challenge but you can set the AI for a car to go to a certain road, but you have to figure out the road and find it in the list. Then set a speed limit and the AI can get there.

Maybe if you could set up certain lanes for the ai to go on and certain spots you could tell the ai to stop and use turn signals and go when the light registers as green and stop when it registers at red but that would be a lot of work but if someone is up to the task I bet it is possible.

Is it possible to get the AI to fly a plane straight? all it would have to do is try to get the roll and pitch as close to to 0 degrees as possible, and maintain a constant speed (cruise control).

the plane I am creating is based on thrusters for speed, pitch and roll, it is a very simple airplane, the pitch and roll of the airplane can easily be maintained by firing the appropriate thrusters.

Also to skip all of the above. It wouldn't even need AI, If there's a way to create triggers that would activate the appropriate thruster at roll or pitch change would be great!

The logic could work like this:

is roll between -2 and 2 / Yes / Then do nothing
is roll at -3 or lower / Yes / Then activate Thruster 4 until roll is at 0
is roll at +3 or higher / Yes / then activate Thruster 6 until roll is at 0

Same for Pitch and Speed, Im sure some lua code would work for this, problem is I don't know how to code
