The 2700x will be fine. It has more cores, and you can overclock it if you are really that worried about clock speeds
I have some questions. 1. How exactly will I get the Windows 10 operating system? Does it come on a disk? This question probably sounds very stupid, but I've never purchased an operating system by itself before. 2. I want my computer to be able to connect to Wi-Fi, but do I need this? This is the wireless network adapter I selected.
^ You can download the media creation tool (basically the installer) via the Microsoft website on a computer (you have to have Win 10 on that machine too, otherwise it won't download the OS), connect an USB drive (>8Gb) and run the Media Creation Tool, that will automatically format the usb drive and download the OS on it. You can watch some YouTube videos to learn more (I suggest PaulsHardware's video as it's the simpliest tutorial on how to set up a brand new machine). When you've installed everything, you can buy a key and activate Windows. There is the "more traditional" method that consist in buying the DVD with the license from Microsoft at full MSRP, 199.99$ for Windows 10 Professional (normally keys are sold for as low as 20$; some say that is illegal, others the opposite, it's up to you). If your motherboard is still the Asus Prime B450-Plus that card is ok (I always prefer cabled solutions, since the ping is lower and more stable), but it's useless if your motherboard (if you've changed it from the list in page 3) already has a built in wifi card. I suggest you to buy a Windows 10 Professional key/license to have some more control (not as much as in Windows 7) over the Windows updates and some other stuff that is great to have.

Yeah, that's right, it's the same one that you can find on the Microsoft website, you'll receive the disk with Windows 10 on it, be sure to have a disk reader to install it; in case you don't have one you can always download the media creation tool I said before, install Windows with it (and it has a bonus since you'll download the latest version, so you don't have to spend hours with Windows update later) and activate it with the license you purchased that comes with that box. It's Win 10 Home, so expect some Windows update nonsense… If you have some more questions, feel free to ask!
Well, by disk reader, I sure hope you mean the optical drive, because if so, I've already planned for that. As for Windows Update, do you mean that if I buy the disk, it will be of a very early version of Windows 10 and not the most recent one?
^ Yes I meant the optical drive, I got "lost in translation" As for the Windows updates, you'll most surely get an old version (I don't think you'll receive the 2015 version though) and you'll have to (or Windows will automatically) update it after the installation via Windows update. The media creation tool automatically downloads the latest version of the OS, so you can install it and don't worry about updates (except the security updates and secondary stuff). Naturally if you'll install again Windows with the same usb drive after one year you won't get an updated version (since you would have to download it on the usb drive again from the media creation tool to have it), so after the installation Windows Update will update (pun not intended) to the latest version as usual. I hope I was clear enough.
Microsoft don't usually send the OS on DVD anymore. It's usually either a USB stick *or* just a license key and you have to use another PC to generate an installer DVD/USB. Needs to be a dual layer DVD so that's a rare choice these days
Download the windows boot media using the tool provided by windows onto a usb stick, and then stick that into the computer and install windows. If you bought a license key, use it during installation
