Very nice! For some reason, it gets stuck in the loading screen, although I installed it correctly, did I still something wrong?
If you check the windows task manager, is your memory consumption growing? If the memory is full, is the hard drive working? If everything's idle then it's a question for the dev team. Maybe check the in-game console for errors..? --- Post updated --- 0.91 Released! Big thanks to detective @loba04 Phelps and @Mar4ick! Changelog: Fixed #1 by @loba04 Fixed #2 by @loba04 (FYI most of those are one-sided surfaces. They're rendered on both sides in GTA 3, but only on one side in BeamNG. Fences and similar material originally had the same problem. I had to find every fence materials and mark it as double-sided. Also, that piece of the boat is supposed to be missing, it's in GTA 3 as well. There was an issue there, but it was once again only single sided surfaces...) Fixed #3 by @Mar4ick (Is actually not my fault, it's in the original game as well, fixed nonetheless.) Fixed #4 by @loba04 (Couldn't replicate, but I simplified the rails collisions so it doesn't cause anymore trouble. Hopefully solved.) Added missing arrows on the ground in Portland docks Fixed several wrong textures / texture transparencies Fixed many floating and sinking lamps Fixed lowest LOD tree transparency in Shoreside Vale Focuses for future releases: Traffic support Minimap Adding interiors / ghost town Improving LOD transitions Enabling aniso filtering on roads Adding a roof to every building Enabling blended transparency on graffiti textures
I feel like I'm the odd one out but this is amazing.....hardly any BIG problems and just a great nostalgic map. --- Post updated --- You have to wait quite some time for it to load.
It already felt pretty complete to me. Thanks a lot! I also think it's quite cool to just cruise around. Out of curiosity would you guys care to measure the loading time? I load in in 31 seconds, so I didn't think it'd be a problem for anyone. My guess is still that it's the HD textures.
I just figured he didn't know.....its like that for every decent sized map. I'm roughly the same loading times.
Those curbs are disastrous to wheels X_X they may be short curbs, but boy do they mess the wheels up bigtime when you hit them on a corner
Decided to make a little scenario for this, and also share it here. It may not be a Patriot you get to drive around, but it's still capable enough. I might also make a second one for where Gripped takes place
Btw this map is really well made, i always wanted to ride in gta 3 with beamng physics! Damn... Thats pretty good!
i didn't knoew that the les cargo didn't have a roof, mainly because the last time, in my savefiles it was floating, it was at least 5 yers ago so...
It just took a while to load, it just hanged up when I first loaded it. By the way, you could do a skin mod for the mod, so there are LCPD, Ambulance and LCFD and maybe taxis and delivery trucks of the GTA 3 or even LCS campanies. Overall, the map's great, I remember the days of LCS, I just wish I had a map or that the navi would work to get easier around
Would be neat if the Pay N Spray fixed your car and put on a random color. No need to but it's a cool idea.
0.91a Released! No bug fixes, just a couple of cool new features. Changes: Two new awesome scenarios by @Spython. Mesa meddling ground and Slipped!. Fully working minimap! ...in other news, I just found out we're on Kotaku for some reason: https://kotaku.com/gta-3s-liberty-city-now-in-crazy-driving-game-1836646442
Well, seeing this map once again but this time in BeamNG.drive was really nostalgic. It reminded me every single moment I had with GTA III. When i was 13 years old, I bought GTA III CD-DVD from a local store, installed it in my PC without any registration or OTP to enter like today's games have and the first thing that caught my eye was the ramp at the subway. I jumped from the ramp and later landed upside down on the tracks where not sooner a train hit me and threw me away. HAHA! The same stunt i performed today; but with no trains, traffic and public, LOL. Great work @swift502 . also congrats kotaku mentioned this map on their page. Waiting for next ported Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas map from GTA San Andreas.
