I play on WCUSA a lot. A WHOLE lot. After playing on it so many times, I start paying attention to details more. If you spawn on the highway and just go down, the final sign reads "San Amaro". It's safe to assume that WCUSA is (particularly Belasco City) roughly San Francisco, so maybe "San Amaro" will be an L.A. type of map? There's a downside though. Two actually. The sign says north and S.F. is north from L.A. so that wouldn't make sense unless the devs want to break the rules of geography. Also, the devs plan to polish WCUSA anyway, so why would they hint at an upcoming map on a map that they still want to add to? What do you guys think? Is it just for show or should we expect a map soon? .
You know there's a sign on Utah that say's something similar but it's for Moab Utah https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moab,_Utah. It's there just for immersion.
You sound like a conspiracy theorist... Mitch has stated that he likes his maps to feel like part of a larger area instead of a self contained tiny world, hence the roads to nowhere/construction barriers on the edge of the map/etc... Why would they even make a second city in the same setting? There's many settings that would far better suit a new map, such as Asia, any full winter map, or my personal favorite and least likely: Cuba (city, fields, completely new setting, IRL famous car culture which we already have cars for, etc...)
I honestly think that we’ll see either Japan or Australia for our next official map, Australia probably being the more likely choice.
I would say germany, because the team has their headquarters in bremen so they can put alot more quality in the way the map looks. Look at the differnce in the map design between Forza horizon 3 and horizon 4. And a german map is nice for the big citys, big hills, forests and not to forget: The AUTOBAHN with no speed limit! (and yes i know the etk experience center exists but its boring and way too small.)
on the topic of the ETK test centre, i sometimes wonder what it would be like if the autobahn through the middle was connected in a ~5km wide loop, and the side road led into a small village, and maybe even somehow include a top-secret ETK test track in similar road condition to the nurburgring.
