* Meanwhile at home * Jimmy: When will the FBI man ( @brien_w ) come back? Me: Who knows, hopefully your sister hasn't been swept away by the flood waters. * Then the Mom awakens and comes downstairs * ???: " Who the hell are you? " " Same here, Jokes aside My name is Adam. I was driving by and noticed here, Jimmy sitting on the porch crying so I asked him if he needed help and so on. " ???: " Oh Well thank you, He gets a bit worried at times. " " Yea, I'm assuming your the mother of Jimmy? " Elizabeth: " Why Yes I am! My name is Elizabeth. Do you know where Ann is? She is my daughter. " " Oh there's actually a Ex-FBI agent searching for her. Jimmy said she left to knock on doors to find help. " Elizabeth: " Wait! I know where she might be! She's probably at the police station not too far from here. I always told her if she gets lost to walk towards the police station and wait for mommy. " " Well lets go then! Get Jimmy in the back of my roamer As I think your ETK outside has all broken windows probably from looters. " Elizabeth: " What!? I don't have a ETK, but that means... no... no, no, no. " * She immediately runs upstairs. followed by a shriek of horror. * Jimmy: " She's probably acting like that because my real dad is here. " " Oh great... Well here Jimmy, I'll give you the position of the news presenter. Now take this here radio and if there's anything alarming going on tell us. Okay? " Jimmy: " Yay! I'm a news presenter now! "
(this is the most intense hurricane roleplay i've ever experienced on this thread) Here in Belasco, things are getting worse as the hurricane moves closer. Newspapers are flying, power lines have been struck by lightning, even big trees have started swaying, especially the one right next to my- *CRASH* NO, WHY MY HOUSE?
( Yea, this is what good roleplaying is in my mind especially with all of the details and people getting stuck, lmao ) * After a while the mom finally calms down, and we finally leave to go to the police station. * Jimmy: " Oh! Mom! There's been a explosion at the Trilobite Plant in Belasco, California. " " Jeez, and that's where they turn crude oil into gas and other toxic chemicals. And after the Hurricane passes and the water goes out to sea. All of that oil will follow suit. " Elizabeth: * Gasp * " There's the police station! " " Alright. " * We Get out of the car and leave Jimmy with the keys incase a gang of looters show up and he can drive away. * " Man this place smells! " Elizabeth: " Ann! Ann? Where are you!? Mom's here! * Then a voice says * " I'm stuck, help mom. I'm sorry for leaving the house. You guys were all knocked out. and I couldn't do anything but find help. " * We then locate her crouching on top of a filing cabinet in the chief's office. * Elizabeth: " No, don't be sorry! you tried to help! and you didn't get hurt or anything! Lets go home right now! " * We then start driving home. And start making beef and bagels and cheese to make burgers for lunch when we arrive. *
*i try to sleep* *after 2 hours finally falls asleep* *gets woken up immediately* *sigh* *turns on battery-powered radio* RESIDENTS OF THE BAY AREA HAVE BEEN EVACUATED INTO SHELTERS, HERE'S A WORD FROM ONE OF OUR- *static* Even Snooze News isn't immune...
God, it’s been like an hour... I’ve checked EVERY. SINGLE. HOUSE. that isn’t flooded. Unless she hid somewhere else... like a Police station. I wonder if its been raided already..? I could get my gun back. *5 mins later* Oh wow, its the Roamer. Looks like they were just here. I’ll bet they found her. Well, I better get some gear back... Oh, some walkie talkies! That will be good. Guns... I’ll grab 5, one for each adult... Keys... These probably go in a roamer. Flashlight, I’ll need that. Okay, thats everything... I guess I can drive the Police Roamer back. Hopefully its offroad.
I slam the door shut, and lay a towel down on my couch. “Please, lay down!” I say. At that moment, my dog, a black lab named Navy, walks down the stairs and falls asleep on the rug. I point to the dog and mutter- “She was so quiet all morning.”
Alright, back at HQ. *Knock Knock* Hey @Tuner from America, I have some stuff to bring in, help me out.
* Opens the door. * " Sweet you got more supplies! Sure I'll help. " * Get's everything inside. * " We found Ann inside of the police station. "
Yeah, I borrowed some stuff from them. Pass the guns out to everyone, one of them is for you. I got mugged by raiders out there, it sucks. Luckily I think everything we need is here.
" Oh nice. " * Passes out the revolvers and takes one for myself. * " Now we have to get the other two guys awake, Jimmy and Ann's mom woke up. while you were gone. "
I frantically shake @98cronvic awake after bater begins pouring under and around the door. It’s only moments before the door will burst open. “We need to get to the attic, now!” I scoop up my dog, race upstairs and open the ladder to the attic. @98crownvic goes first, then I follow. Through the only window in the attic, I see rising floodwaters. An upside-down Del Sol drifts down the street, striking a lamp post then getting stuck. There’s no doubt my garage door will burst open and flood my garage, ruining the Sunburst. The Pessima and my FBI-spec GM are long gone. I look closer at the water and notice that it dons an oily, swirly, multicolored sheen. “Look at the water. It’s so polluted from the Trilobyte failure.”
" Well that's the question, the guy who was bleeding earlier was hit in the head by a piece of the window. And the other man was in a car crash with the mom of the kids. but there doesn't appear to be bleeding or what. He might have just fainted? "
Horizon Estates, where I used to live, has mostly been spared so far from the floodwaters. It’s so high up. (Forgot to make a post about me moving to the city) The thing about Belasco is that it’s hard to flood thoroughly. This hurricane is dumping as much water as Harvey, but It’s flooding half as much. It’s so hilly that all of the water slides down the street, making a waterfall of sorts, then collects near the coast, nearly completely submerging all of the buildings down there. I’m about halfway between the coast and the top of the city. If it keeps pouring like this, I’ll have to make a very dangerous escape to higher ground.
