So upon review, the Bluebuck has two body styles, a hand-printed lowrider config, a junker(I think), a race/derby car, and the "Bad Bubu" drag racer. Is that everything?

Period correct racing skins are kinda a big deal, the Moonhawk doesn't have any and the Barstow has one but it's unused.

The beater is in the style of the Barstow's, a weird desert raid rally demo derby beater all in one. Looks a lot better on the Bluebuck but I still hope to see a proper demo derby and beater.

Bubu also has at least 3 hoods. Factory, cut, and cowl. Looks like there might be a fourth on the track car.

@ whoever made that Bad Bubu skin. I love you.

 

Oh god why do they have to release the video when I‘m somewhere in the southernmost corner of England with just enough reception to post this

 

Honestly the Blueback is everything I have ever hoped for and wished for. It seems like everything I have ever suggested was included.

- Period correct racing config
- Period correct drag config
- 4 door and 2 door variants
- Lowrider config closely resembling my all time favourite lowrider 'the gypsy rose'

I really have to say the developers have absolutely outdone themselves with this update. I couldn't be more happy and impressed!

I'm really glad they have taken on board community feedback to make this the best it could possibly be!

Pillerless and pillared options. I have a beam boner, I really knew this will be something special.

I don't mean to be a killjoy here, and I love the Bluebuck trailer and there's a lot I was excited to see so I mean the following to be as matter of fact as possible...

Taxi, police, and JATO car weren't in the trailer. That probably means the first two will not be in the update (but could come later, IIRC both taxi's and many police car configs were added after the vehicle's release). As for a JATO car, the JATO Wentward wasn't shown in it's video either.

(I keep bringing up the JATO car because we already have the JATO bus and the Mythbusters ram plow for the T-Series and bus, so it seems like a natural addition)

Again, I mean this comment to be as matter of fact as possible, the Bluebuck has multiple very exciting firsts for official content and looks great, it will definetly be shipping with enough content to keep everyone busy without those three things.

 

no taxi/police, ill make them.
anyway, this gives me hope that the wendover also has multiple body styles, they may even bring back the sedan style. but for the bluebuck, hydrolics, racing skin, you can see the devs went all out on this car. this seems like it will be worth the wait x10

 

Taxi and Police variants will likely come with time, hopefully in 0.18 or possibly in a hotfix.

They may even be included in the update but not shown, so there's always a chance.

As for JATO I personally couldn't care less. I never really use the unrealistic variants as I prefer realistic and period correct configs

But yea, I guess we have to wait and see

If you Look at the very end the jato dt40l is flying by the moon. Just watched the jato mythbusters yesterday

 

bah rubbish, who need a pesky rocket when they have jet smooth and reliably powerful V-8 under the hood with a deep burbly growl at the rear end and a silky smooth Gavri-matic transmission in the middle for effortless hill climbing and cruising on black top. You'll get to the moon... eventually

 

I had a long terrible week.

I dunno what it was, seeing this really has uplifted me. The range of bodies on the car , on my favorite game. SO much fun to be had,

Just why do both trailers have to be released exactly when I cannot watch them...
The maps trailer was released when I was on the journey to holidays and now the Bluebuck Trailer is released when I'm on the journey back from holidays...
