1963 Gavril Bluebuck

Naming it GM would be following Chevrolet's contemporary nomenclature, naming it a Burnside would not. It's nice to see references to real car culture with stuff like this.

The Bluebuck's hydraulic suspension plus a cannon would make me feel like I'm playing the Sweedish high tier tanks in World of Tanks...

Looks like a mix between a Plymouth Fury and a Chevy Impala

 

Now that I see it in game, it kind of looks like what Chrysler and friends would have made had they not mistakenly downsized the 1962 models.

It's a pretty funny story, actually. Basically, Chrysler's president misheard Chevy's chief engineer Ed Cole describing the planned Chevy II, thinking he said that all the 1962 GM models were going to be downsized. So the Mopar fullsizes were downsized to compete, but in fact, GM had no plans of downsizing at the time. In the end, Chrysler was saddled with a pitiful midsize at the top of their range, so Dodge had to quickly slap together the real fullsize Custom 880 out of outdated parts to fill the gap.

Anyway, the +-shaped grill is what reminds me of Chrysler. The best part about it is that it easily could be its own car in the early 60's - it doesn't quite look like anything on the market at the time, but would fit right in (probably as a Chrysler, had their president paid better attention to Ed Cole).

 

I wonder if we will see something like a Ford Galaxie 500 Lightweight. basically a factory built weight reduction bro race special. ridiculously uncommon.

I suggested a Gypsy Rose inspired lowrider a few months ago, so it's pretty cool it's included
Although whether it was my suggestion or the developers idea I'm not sure, but that doesn't matter anyway.

It does seem that the devs are listening for this update, which is awesome as I just can't wait for a proper original muscle car like the GTO.
