Perfect price/performance CPU. You could later upgrade to a Ryzen 3rd gen since the socket is the same. I don't personally like MSI products since I've read they are going down in quality. I suggest you to choose Asus/ASRock. Good card, same message as motherboard. 3000Mhz should be enough (even 2666Mhz is fine). Since you're on a budget, buy the cheapest good quality stuff, don't look only at RGB. Change it if you don't want your pc to explode. Good SSD, but where is the hard drive for mass storage? A 500 Gb is good enough for starting. The case it's just pure look. Choose a case with good airflow (I don't like the "all front blocked" cases, but that's up to you). Also, your title says $600 budget, but the pc you came up with is around $700. What's your real budget? Hi, I work for a large PC component retailer and sell PC components as a full time job. The current Corsair VS550 power supply is made by HEC, the same manufactures of Cougar products. Cougar power supplies are known for stability, and I highly recommend their case fans. The new VS550 carries an 80+ White certification with it. The previous generation Corsair VS550 was made by Channel Well Technology, and they were absolutely little fire starters. CWT makes power supplies currently for many manufactures including Thermaltake, Antec, and Cooler Master to name a few. Corsair is shying away from CWT made supplies. EVGA and Cougar all have supplies made by HEC. Good OEMs to look for are HEC, Seasonic, FSP, and Delta. There are lists on the internet. Ignore what the man above you has said, the biggest pieces of junk on the planet are ASRock motherboards. Our in-house systems use them exclusively, they are our most highly returned boards, and they cause nothing but problems for our service department. My most highly sold board is the MSI B450 Tomahawk, and I personally use almost exclusively MSI and ASUS motherboards and video cards. Never a single problem. Every single ASRock motherboard I've ever had has died from use alone within 2 years. AORUS and Gigabyte boards aren't so bad either, but they aren't my cup of tea. I feel the same way about Western Digital hard drives. Backblaze is an online data storage provider and every year they release a hard drive reliability report. Their most recent report showed Western Digital with the highest failure rate, then Toshiba, Seagate, and finally HGST (which are made by WD in a different factory). I recommend a 1TB Seagate Barracuda to go with a 250GB 2.5" SSD. Samsung make the best SSDs around, and they're worth the price premium for performance and longevity. It's important to remember that AMD Ryzen chips love RAM speed. I typically don't recommend anything below 3000MHz, but anything as low as 2666MHz could work favorably (though not recommended). Cases are a purely personal opinion. I like silent, clean aesthetic, but I also like tempered glass and RGB as much as the next guy. I like Fractal Design, NZXT, and Corsair cases the most. I’m building this pc solely for BeamNG, and BeamNG only, so could you please estimate the amount of FPS I’d get in BeamNG with this setup on high settings? Also, do you think that a Radeon RX580 would produce similar results? (Trying to cut costs) If yes then how much do you think this pc would last me? (BeamNG) If choosing the RX 580 is indeed a great option then what should I spend the saved money on? (One more 8gb stock of ram, upgrade the motherboard, buy a better cpu etc.) I’ll send you the current parts lists I’m considering. I guess we're taking information from very different sources... I've litterally been told that MSI/Gigabyte have quite low quality when it comes to Motehrboards/GPUs compared to competitors and the Seagate Barracudas were more prone to fail compared to WD Blue. The RX 580 is slightly less powerful than the GTX 1660.

My sources are data experts, computer technicians, and personal experience. Modern Gigabyte is pretty crappy, though. I held an RTX 2080 Windforce and it felt like a toy compared to anything MSI, ASUS, or EVGA were making. I have experience with a Gigabyte 990FX AMD board and an H110 Intel board and they were very nice. The new stuff just doesn't compare at all. It's a shame, tbh.
Instead of a 1660, I´d buy a Vega 56 Pulse, it´s cheaper and in some games a tad faster And it has 8GB of HBM2 VRAM, not just 6GB like the 1660
The Vega 56 is about as fast as a GTX 1070ti, when overclocked, it´s a tiny bit faster than a 2060 aswell
