Only now and I just realized it resembles the Dodge Challenger a bit. This design is a little bit of everything and I love that!
personally, I prefer the rear pillar/window the way you had it before the change, but thats just me. Though the new way does make it more miramar-ey so probably keep it that way. --- Post updated --- I was thinking the exact same thing!
The interior should be very easy to complete, as modern cars only use one or two displays for all information provided to passengers. For example, the Tesla model 3 has a very simple design. The Tesla model s and model x have a more of a friendly, less jarring change in design but overall many appreciate simplicity! I assumed this would be utilizing an electric or hydrogen / hybrid type of drive train as well, but I could appreciate a model / jbeam that uses a transversely mounted drive train. This would allow for the inside to use a totally flat floor, vs having an antiquated drivetrain tunnel... in both the electric and ice configurations!
Thanks @Mullethead Yes, I also thought that when I saw it from the side/rear. Looks like a baby muscle car I guess XD. A friend said its like a trip around the world, because it combines US/RUS (I think it looks like a modernized Lada) and JDM because of what some people already mentioned. @CubeSquared The first iteration was more original maybe, but in the end I think the classic cantilever shape is better for overall looks better in terms of overall aesthetics/proportions @some Yes, I have something simple in mind. But not a megatablet like in Tesla. I believe there should be a balance between screens and physical buttons. I personally like switches and knobs. I can't have a radio without a thicc volume knob for example. The feedback and the feel don't have a replacement imo. Update: if it fits, I sits. automation sounds like a good idea, even if it's just for the JBeam side of the engine. I could whip something up for you if you want?
That would be awesome! I've had this thought in my head but I had discarded it since there is nothing similar in Beam (for sounds)... a V4 Turbo in a hot V configuration (dunno if its possible in automation). That or anything that you find suitable or cool! Automation has sounds for the engines right? I'm so tempted to buy it, and rather than a matter of money, I'm just afraid to get too addicted and that it will distract me from the actual project I'm doing... PS: Right! An 1.0 Ecoboost (anything from 125 to 200hp) replica pweease?
unfortunately, automation doesn't have V4s or hot manifold configurations, but i'm sure you could use the jbeam parts of an I4 if you're not afraid of making the visual model of an engine yourself. I threw together 2 variants of a basic car, with 2 different engines, the first with an engine based off the fox ecoboost 1.0, and the second a modern 1.6l n/a inline 4 that revs to 9000 RPM, somewhat like a modernised version of the miramar GTz engine.

The engine has quite some potential in real life, that's why i like it. and a very flat torque curve. Anyways I ... bought Automation so I'll try to make it myself... This looks very nice, I wouldn't doubt that this could just be a 2020 Miramar. Its the perfect blend of classic design while still retaining a modern to-date design language. I look forward to more progress and seeing this come to fruition as a well-made vehicle mod.

Progress on details and things that are not so visible, or wont even be visible in the end in the attachments - unibody, thickness to all panels (so easy to just say heheh) Coming up next, in no particular order: - door hinges - hood hinges/latches - trunk hinges - general interior and trunk inside shape For the rear suspension I'm thinking of duplicating the double wishbone set up from the front and adapting it, should be better than a lead spring solid axle. However I think that the twitchy handling from the miramar is mostly due to the wheelbase. Any thoughts on this?
Question time: I can model this (as in this type of setup). How hard would it be to jbeam? This part I will need help for sure... I will attempt to do it myself though
Wouldn't be hard at all, just 4 nodes to attach the wishbones to on the chassis and 3/4 per side for the wheelhub and maybe 1 for the diff and a few for the swaybars etc
Sounds great then! Tiny bit of progress: Revisited front. Do you like it this way or would you rather have the minimalistic simplified version I had first? Today I will hopefully finish the interior boundary surfaces, dunno how to call them. Pretty much anything but the seats and the dash/controls/console. Regarding engines/drivetrains, plan is to do the ETK800 engine as a base, then do the rest of variants.
Personally I think both bumpers look good and having a choice of one or the other would be quite cool
