Definitely towns and maybe some WW2 stuff like an airplane crash or sunken warships.. Also maybe some secrets?
0.18, given it is the final update of the year, will likely include: Career Mode (at least a base version) - The devs stated in the 0.15 changelog "On to Career Mode in 2019", thus confirming it's implementation Upgraded Small Island, Port, and Industrial Site - Confirmed to be WIP back in November, could be nearly done. Upgraded JRI - The final map that requires major improvements, likely will no longer be set in Hawaii Improved traffic and police - Systems added in 0.17 were very basic, likely will be improved. If career mode appears, there is a chance that BeamNG may jump to beta, but who knows?
i dont think it will be beta untill the wendover releases, seeing as its the only confirmed car that still needs to get ingame
Wendover could be released within beta. Career mode is far more important than the Wendover in regards to development.
As great as the physics are, I'd really love to see improvements in vehicles getting stuck to each other, or phasing through objects. I'm sure it's a high priority and not an easy fix but it will come sometime for sure
With respect to your comment. I'd love to see improvements in the AI especially racing and chasing part. Physics are significant too that's what keeping this game alive and different from rest of the games. Still, AI needs to be focused a lot.
Of course, AI updates is definitely expected of the coming updates. Just bringing up something not discussed often
hopefully it hasn't already been said, but this is in the sunburst's transaxle jbeam Code: "gearbox": { "uiName":"Gearbox", "gearRatios":[-3.35, 0, 3.45, 2.21, 1.65, 1.26, 1.0, 0.80], "friction": 5, "gearboxNode:":["tra1"], //"gearWhineCoefs": [0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0], //"gearWhineCoefsInput": [0.8, 0, 0.15, 0.15, 0.15, 0.15, 0.15, 0.15], //"gearWhineCoefsOutput": [0, 0, 0.25, 0.25, 0.25, 0.25, 0.25, 0.25], //"gearWhineInputEvent": "event:>Vehicle>Transmission>helical_01>twine_in", //"gearWhineOutputEvent": "event:>Vehicle>Transmission>helical_01>twine_out", //"forwardInputPitchCoef":1 //"forwardOutputPitchCoef":1 //"reverseInputPitchCoef":0.7 //"reverseOutputPitchCoef":0.7 //"gearWhineInputPitchCoefSmoothing":50 //"gearWhineOutputPitchCoefSmoothing":50 //"gearWhineInputVolumeCoefSmoothing":10 //"gearWhineOutputVolumeCoefSmoothing":10 //"gearWhineFixedCoefOutput": 0.7 //"gearWhineFixedCoefInput": 0.4 }, so it looks like we'll be getting a much more tuneable transmission whine, just as we did with the starter motor.
Updated grand marshal, wohoo! I hope to see the rest of the early cars get this treatment soon, the new Grand Marshal looks amazing with all the arts options now!
It's quite nice that they do a surprise update like this, the car looks awesome now ! We can notice too that they are making an nice effort with lore of their car, in other cars it just list the the things that are on the selected variant, now it's more like "sold to general public" or "The Roadsport is Gavril's factory supercharged performance model" ect ...
But if they're going through all the work to overhaul the body-on-frame aspect, I find it hard to believe that other features and parts won't be added as well, to keep those vehicles up with the times, so to speak.
This is the first 0.X.X update since god knows when! Hopefully we see more of these "mini-updates" in the future, we could be going back to the good old days back when there were more frequent smaller updates alongside major ones.
I know. it feels like the latest mini-update was yesterday, even though that was back in 2016 when the 0.5.6 came out as the latest mini-update. Until now, when the the 0.17.1 came out.
Interesting, there are now "old paint" and "rusty" skins for the GM, alongside variants of each based on the Police and Taxi liveries. I suspect this may have something to do with used cars in career mode.
