I have been working on this model for quite a while, much before I even heard of BeamNG, and I'm quite pleased with the result. However, I have no skill in creating the B/N structure, so if anyone knows more about that side of things, here is the .dae Originally I used SketchUp for the modeling, I will also include that file. I know y'all hate SketchUp, but I don't care, so please don't tell me I need to use Blender. I'm comfortable with the way I've been modeling, and I've found that SketchUp can transfer over to Blender quite well. You are free to take these files and do pretty much anything with them. Credit appreciated, but not required.
@cars510 It is just a base model, if you want to do a sports or a race version then you need to edit the model
Sorry, I can't modify any BeamNG vehicles because it did not go well the last time I tried to modify the Ibishu Covet. I've been wanting the stock version of this because, I can't stand having the modified version of a car that can be stock . I know of a guy who lives in my neighborhood and he has a 1985 Nissan 300ZX, and it looks quite good for a beaten 30 year old car.
These old Nissans always look best when beaten hah. My favourite car is the '71 Dotsun 240Z, preferably beaten to hell. Like Roadkill's Rotsun!
It just needs a few selectable parts to have sports and race versions. Doesnt need entirely remodelling. Sketchup used wrong is bad. Nothing wrong with sketchup used right, it just rarely likes to create the correct polyflow for a videogame mesh, it can certainly do it though. As for N/B. 200bx is best starting point if you want to adapt an existing vehicle.
I can't quite seem to get it right on the N/B structure, so for now, I have chosen to only upload the models. If I am able to make one that is a little bit more usable, I'll keep you guys updated
Uh-oh... https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=f770402300ccb66d94db926ad0cd7381 "The Nissan 300ZX is a sports car made by Nissan. The Z31 chassis designation was first introduced in 1983 as a 1984 Nissan/Datsun 300ZX (the hatch lid had both a Datsun badge and a Nissan badge) in the US only. The 300ZX, as its predecessors, was known as a Nissan in other parts of the world. This continued in the US until 1985 model year when Nissan standardized their brand name worldwide and dropped the Datsun badge. A note can be made that all publications for the Z31 chassis 300ZX and its predecessors were copyright Nissan North America. Designed by Kazumasu Takagi and his team of developers, the 300ZX improved aerodynamics and increased power when compared to its predecessor, the 280ZX. The newer Z-car had a drag coefficient of 0.30 and was powered by Japan's first mass-produced V6 engine instead of an I6. According to Nissan, the V6 engine was supposed to re-create the spirit of the original Fairlady Z. I imported this from a GTA: SA file using Zmodeler 2 and exported it to 3ds and imported it to SketchUp, regrouped and i recolored some parts. I improved it almost entirely. Please rate!" -- xrw960 Please make sure to properly credit the model author, assuming you aren't xrw960. If you are, just ignore this post. UPDATE: You don't have to take it down, just don't pretend you made it. I'm not even angry, just credit the author. It's quite simple.
I love those too! hell, I love the old Japanese roadsters/sports cars. [Copyright Infringement: Taken down] 1983 Nissan 300ZX -- In need of N/B structure Damn...
I don't exactly get copyrights for BeamNG, it's not like you go to court and you get lots of money just because someone copied a SketchUp Nissan 300ZX, :/
