Simple question, but might be interesting. "How do you setup your Off Road truck/suv/van?" Things like what axle you use, what tyre, adjustments in your suspension, etc. Note: vanilla rigs only because I'm not a big fan of modding, some are OP. Note: I'm not done with mine D-series, am testing it so my rig will follow soon.
Main things I keep in mind (no specific rig) Solid axles 4wd w/ low range box (NOT awd) Largest off-road wheels, the last one on the list, 35 in. Quick ratio steering Snorkel Some sort of roll cage/roll bar Locking diffs Anything else is usually optional Edit: I forgot to mention off road suspension, I’m dumb.
There is off road suspension in the game which can be tuned from the tuning menu. The more you drag slider to the left the softer the suspension will be and the farther right you move it the harder the suspension will be. And the same thing with spring height. The more to the right you drag the slider the higher it is and the farther to the left it will be lower. The amount dragged left or right will depend on ehat kind of off road drivong you are doing. If you are rock crawling or going off of ramps it would make sense to have the sliders all the way to the left and the spring height as high as it can go and you would want your tire more on the soft side. But if you are only going on trails and light off road stuff you would want to have softer than normal every day use but not to the extent of rock crawling and your tires should have a high enough sidewall to that they can absorb the shock of all the bumps and have enough tread to grip the dirt, mud, grass and gravel. You tire should be slightly on the wide side as well to have enough rubber in contact with the ground so they can handle to load of the vehicle.
