I'm surprised the electronics don't turn off with the engine. For example, in the SBR4, the GPS would just turn into a black screen, the gauge cluster would darken, and the DRLs turn off. Also, the eSBR should have a shut-off of sorts. If it's in park for over 15-30 seconds, the screens and lights shut off and it doesn't turn back on until you press the gas (or accelerator in an electric car's case). I'm sure this won't be a priority for a while if it's even thought of.
Yeah, I always am kinda annoyed by the ETK 800. The DRLs stay on when the engine's off. It seems like a pretty easy thing to fix, too.
I'm sure it could be done with code that basically says that while the engine is off, all lights/electronics are off.
I know this hasn't been active in a couple weeks, but I found a glitch in the eSBR and the SBR4 Note: this is not because the lights are mods. If you recover the car without hitting the breaks or turning on lights (obviously), the headlights will stay off. Unfortunately, this doesn't affect the interior electronics. This leads me to believe that the code is possibly in there somewhere even if it's a mistake. All it needs is to be edited so that it does this when the engine is off and that the interior stuff is off too.
