Random pointless trivia that I really couldn't be bothered to find an on-topic place for: the devs actually do seem to have a fairly consistent system for placing nitrous bottles in their cars.

Fully-enclosed, short roof: Longitudinally on left side of trunk; some have it as far forward and then left as possible, while the Miramar's is a distance away from both the bulkhead and wheel well
Fully-enclosed, long roof: Longitudinally on left side of cargo area, as far forward as possible
Fully-enclosed, mid or rear engine: Longitudinally in passenger footwell, as close to the center console as possible
Pickup truck, cargo van, or Jeep-type SUV: Transversely in passenger footwell
Heavy truck: Longitudinally between driver and passenger seat, centered
Bus: Longitudinally on floor in rear of passenger compartment, centered

So far the game lacks any dev-made minivans, motorhomes, front-engine buses, or open-wheelers. Likely that a minivan, lacking any upfits to stay out of the way of, would have the bottle in the cargo area like any other longroof in the game, and the others I have no idea about.

Also, I just found out tonight that the 200BX, while visually very similar to an S13 liftback, is actually a true notchback with a fully-separated trunk.

It appears that the newly lore-ified Grand Marshal, for the last two years of its life, was available only to fleet customers or as a sports model. Kind of an interesting detail. Also, the new Street Tuned is specified to be "1993-1997" so it's likely that model-year differences are planned to exist at some point.

I... suspect? that the Gavril light truck family is headed for some model-year realignment. D-series 88-94, H-series 95-01, Roamer 92-99 despite looking more modern than either of the others. Can anyone explain what's going on there? Did the Roamer get restyled two years earlier than the D-series?

Woohoo! Fullsize is remastered! It's like the Bluebuck now parts-wise. Are the others getting remastered as well?

    Oh yes.

I suspect that we will soon see version 0.17.1.1, which will probably include significant improvements to the WIP GM configurations, performance data, and possibly more GM related content alongside the usual bugfixes.

I hope the 200bx gets changed up a bit, if not remastered. It crashes a little funky in some places, and has been in the game for ages now with only a handful of configs and tuning parts.

Now that I think of it, I wouldn't be surprised if the vehicle remasters are like level remasters, working from the oldest to the newest.

Whatever was going on when GM released the 4th gen C/K for '88 and the Blazer/Yukon/Suburban for '92.

Well the Hopper has the Beam Safari skin that still is unused... Giving the Roamer one would make a nice pair

We need a Hopper with a tattered tarp roof, a fold down windshield, and a spare tire on the hood.

The remastered Grand Marshal makes me realize that the Roamer and D-Series are in real need for attention, they'll probably be the ones next. They share parts after all, especially towards the ladder frame and powertrain (the D-Series does have some complexity due to multiple frame and cab lengths). But yes as the levels are being improved it seems the vehicle(s) are getting improved aswell. Also note the Covet was made around the same time.

A unique bonus idea for the remaster could be an official older roamer and newer d-series but that's a stretch

One thing that is bugging me in the new maps is how the trees are still wonky, sometimes more than before 0.17. I can be driving through a small tree, until that tiny, thin collusion mesh just sticks on a part of the vehicle and brings it to a dead stop. Or how some have the slow down effect well past the reach of their branches. That effect could also use some adjusting, since it sometimes feels too strong

    Straight from the devblog:

Hoping that means the D-Series will finally be able to lose its bed. Have always hated how its connected to the cab.
