Thanks I sketched up some wheels and tried them, but I'm not too happy with the results so far... I might leave it for later. Don't feel like they fit well... I wanted a boxy look to go along with the theme, but the original Hirochi rims fit way better. I have some other ideas, but inspiration is welcome. I would like to design cars in the future indeed The rear door handle I can tweak easily. Tbh there are a lot more things that you haven't mentioned that wouldn't quite work IRL and I'm aware of it. But designing and developing a new model takes years for a reason (unless it's a restyling and you reuse a ton of parts). I called it concept for a reason, and well, it's for a game in the end. Of course, the more sense everything makes, the better, but I also don't want to spend months on this (which I probably will anyways lol). As for the door windows, yeah, maybe they wouldn't quite roll down all the way, but the way I have the model right now it would take a lot more work to slightly change that than it's worth (you can call me lazy). - I did actually do trunk panelling/seals - I will consider separating the sills at a later stage And do some proper mirror attachments, atm they're just the original Miramar mirrors untouched. - The C pillar has a looong story of trial and error behind it, I genuinely had tried what you mentioned before, but I really didn't like it. It's meant to be fat, like a cantilever holding the weight. Thanks for the write up anyways --- Post updated --- It will be a modified miramar chassis with independent rear suspension
I doubt it tbh, that's a separate unibody as it would be a 2 door. Can't say anything for sure about future plans, as the current objective is just to get it ingame. Tiny update The pedals aren't floating, they're floor hinge Although you can't see it because of the render resolution on the brake pedal it says "SURE BRAKE". Yes there will be a manual.
yay thanks for including me in the OP for the name change, didnt need it or want it, but its a welcome surprise
Thanks again Progress is a bit slow now as this part is just more complicated and time consuming but it is steady Also I finally switched to Blender 2.8
A few hundred and adding up... Blender user since 2012 lol But it's starting to settle in my mind. Loving the collections and being able to disable overlays, however I had higher expectations for eevee... The lack of working emission planes is a bummer
There's now a set of manual pedals and auto pedals, separetly. Some more details, wonder if you can spot them Does anyone know if I could assign a color wheel in Beamng for all of the interior backlights? It would be pretty cool.
You do know there is an option in Blender version 2.80 where you can set the selection to the right click button, right?
both are magnificent but the B is a little bit better. the A is what a modern car company would do, together with putting a diesel in it.
I do, I do, but by now I'm used to the new way which actually makes more sense and I do not regret getting used to it A is indeed an option for a wider audience, however a diesel is certainly NOT in the plans. Got a few rims done, however I still have a lot more ideas. Note that these rims aren't really final models (unless you guys like them) and are more of a brain storming, I made them in 10 minutes each... Feel free to make any suggestions for rims. They are 17's with 225 width by the way. I also have some new exterior parts coming, and currently working on the central console (shifter, armrest and such). Quite happy with how its coming along. Also researching electric swap atm
I really like those blades/turbofans (top left), they looks awesome. Perhaps for the final version of the wheels they can be inspired by the blades/turbofans, but with a more modern touch?
Not quite sure about what you mean by a modern touch... I quite like them as they are. I can give it a try tomorrow Thank you! _______ No real progress here other than this new bumper in the works, just test fitting the wheels which I would say look like a torque converter rather than a turbofan, and I liked it so much I just had to share. Oh right and center console with gear shifter and handbrake is almost done too ___ Update: center console
Just a suggestion for when you get it in the game, I think changing the screen in the centre console to a GPS would be good. Looks amazing though and it keeps getting better!
