AI Traffic Help

    Been using the traffic feature since it came out, great work by the way. The feature was working for me all the way up until earlier today, and it now functions like this:

    • Police will not chase under any circumstances
    • Cars will not stop when approaching another car or the player vehicle
    I already tried these:
    • Uninstalling a mod I got today
    • Clearing cache
    • Running game in safe mode
    • Verifying files through BeamNG, not Steam
    No matter what I try, I cannot seem to get the traffic to work properly anymore. I tried it on several maps, including East Coast USA and Italy. As far as I can tell, they follow the proper paths. I used the AI debug tool to see if I could remedy this problem in any way by changing the mode to something else, (i.e. chase, flee etc.,) and back to traffic, but they behave the same way. What am I doing wrong? Has anyone else encountered this issue?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am also more than happy to upload any diagnostics, screenshots/clips, etc.

    Issue is here too, even after a clean reinstall. Seems to have been introduced with the hotfix.

    Interestingly enough, when traffic cars get in collisions, they still stop like normal. This leads into a chain reaction where a new traffic car crashes into the crashed traffic car. This repeats until all of the traffic cars that have been spawned get into a collision (from this chain reaction or from another chain reaction), making large pile ups like this

    I observed the same thing, believe it or not. Before they make contact with another vehicle, they run around like bats out of hell.

    Oh and still modded configurations don't change colors, forgot to mention that.
    Hence why the Sunstrips (Car from SLRR, all the cars shown in the picture are them) shown in the picture where I mentioned the pile-up thing are all blue

    Do you mean configs that you made yourself, or configs that are from mods? I noticed that when using regular traffic, some police cars that I have from mods would spawn that came in wacky colors, like brown on black.

    It depends on their config type (You can check this by going in the mod's vehicle config .json files, They'll be named info_[CONFIGNAME].json):

    Configs with a "Factory" config type are considered normal cars and can change colors
    Configs with the name "police" or with the "police" config type are recognized as police cars, and do not change colors
    Configs with an "Unknown" (Config Type not set, or is not one of the available options), or "Custom" config type do not change colors

    Oh and I think the risk set on the traffic cars is like at 0.75 or 1. instead of 0.3

    Ah, I understand now.

    Also, while using the AI UI tool, I noticed that all traffic was set to .3.

    I posted a bug report yesterday due to the same issue, and I do think it is an issue with the hotfix from yesterday - since now this is the 3rd time I've seen someone else have the same issue as myself.

    I have that too but police cars are still chasing me .. but only if i drive to fast
