Hello there. As of now, you, yes YOU have been recruited. You have been invited to join The Dust Games. The object is simple. We are going to find the oldest computer hardware capable of running BeamNG.Drive. The rules are simple. There are 3 categories. In order of glory (ascending or descending, I'll let you be the judge) they are: Boot to main menu, Load into level, and 10+ FPS. In order to qualify for each category, they must be capable of the task at hand. Please post a photograph of the computer actually running the game, with the computer in shot fulfilling the conditions of the category, and specs of the computer in question. Fakeable? Certainly, but I think we are all adults here(or al least we can pretend). If you are submitting a 10 FPS or level entry, and it happens to be older than the record for lower categories, you will be automagically entered for those too. Please note that in order to be eligible for the 10+ FPS category, you need a visible FPS counter, on gridmap, default spawn, base D-series, any game settings you wish, but you must use orbit camera, and have to be looking straight ahead. There is no need to run 10 FPS avg, just hit 10 at any time, and grab a screencap/photo of your double digit achievement. EDIT: game must be running and not paused for this category. I'm sure I forgot something, but for the time being, I'm sure we all have some computers to dust off. LET THE GAMES BEGIN! Edited for visual clarity
I'll get a spec on a compaq presario cq56 from like 2007 later Spec Intel celeron 3gb ram Dx11 i hope And maybe a 2016 acer aspire e415 Specs: Amd A6 4core processor 4gb ram 80gb hdd Dx11
Cool concept, but maybe format your text a little? A bit of space would make it a ton easier for the eyes to read, but maybe it's just me.
My previous PC was from 2008/2009. It was so crappy, that BeamNG crashed each time you were like halfway loading into a map. Never got to play BeamNG on it really, other than one of the very first versions of it
I have something with almost the exact same specs, I have an ‘07 Compaq Presario CQ60. I got 2 FPS on Gridmap, everything as low as possible, so you won’t hit the 10-frame mark unless you pause the game, which is cheating in my eyes.
nice, you could claim 2 records now if you took a picture and post it. ;P also, thank you for finding that loophole about pausing. I have updated the rules.
do you have a photo of the computer, or an overlay of the specs on your screenshots? Otherwise, I could just claim my Helios 300 is an old thinkpad
I can get one, but here's the screenshot for now. Fired up the old hunk of junk to find it, and it took surprisingly long given that it's the only screenshot of BeamNG I have.
oh good god, those definitely look like some 2008 pixels in there. what os is that? can you post complete specs, preferably a screen cap of say, the windows experience index or task manager if you managed to run win 10 on that?
