Hey everyone! Today I made my first video to start my drift review series in which I will test configurations from the community and score them based off of how they drive, look, etc. Think of it as a combination of Taylor Rays drift review series combined with a doug demuro video...

In this first post I have uploaded an example video I made with one of my personal configurations but I am hoping some of you guys can send me your own setups either on this thread or you can add me on discord at dallas#1636.

    Thanks for checking it out!

Well this certainly caught my interest :) I've got quite the garage of self built/tuned low to mid hp drift machines I wouldn't mind getting reviews on.
If possible I'd like to compare some 200bx's too. I have almost 20 different 200bx builds ranging from Missiles, street drift, full on comp etc.Mostly street. Probably only send my main street and full comp. However, I seem to struggle a little when it comes to the 200bx's suspension. Just can't dial them in for what I'm after with them.

Have a few old pessimas, some d series, all of etks, barstow, grand marshal.. Basically everything :p

Think my grand marshal will score very high in all your categories ;)

Hoping the etk 2400i wagon mod comes back because I have a '95 Volvo 940 wagon replica I made from a real life car I had. One of my favourites ingame to drift with but as of right now, it breaks not having the new subframe. :(

Can hit you up on discord if you're interested.. Heck, I couldn't say no to more drift builds XD

What about 4wd drift setups? Do you score based on ease of drift? by saying you judge based on looks, do you mean looking clean and stock, or looking stanced and modified?

I'd be down to try 4wd drift setups!

In terms of looks, my ratings will be pretty open, because there isn't some universal standard of what looks good. But realistically I would break it down into cars that look more functional versus looking more stylish/sexy, both are good and both look cool, just make sure what you choose is done correctly.

An example of what would suck is a really high power drift car that isn't very low but still has a full body kit, kinda seems a little off. Conversely if you have a lower, stance oriented car with a kit and some properly fitting wheels, that's ideal.

Okay, Whatevs, I apologize in advance for these. The first car was an HX pessima, I've done a... few things to it. It should be easier to drive than the other things I send you, so if you are unfamiliar with 4wd drift, try the HX first.
The others are pickups and they have.... quirks. The parking brake WILL NOT initiate a drift while in 4WD mode. AT ALL. Clutch kicks work... ish. if you want to drift you probably need to be in 2nd or 3rd gear because 1st understeers. I hope you've been practicing Scandinavian flicks because it's the best way to start a drift with these. You can also use the foot brake to throw weight around and destabilize the rear. Oh yeah, no ABS because it doesn't let you skid. These configs have like no traction and little braking power so you need to think ahead. The first truck has 900+ flywheel horsepower, and the second one has 600ish but more usable torque. Both these trucks run 10's off the bottle in the quarter mile. They bite, and they bite HARD. Good luck.
EDIT if you have any problems/ questions, feel free to DM me.

Didn't actually think of this until checking which ones to send. All my builds use some sort of mods and I honestly couldn't point out what comes from where. Gunna throw a few in to start with and if something is missing, I'll do my best to find what's what.
Put together a small pack to start with, which contains:

    3 - 200bx's:

    1. Drift build, my main 200bx with terrible tires but is soo much fun to drift around. Been trying to find a good set of rims but most change the tire grip options to much and takes away the characteristic this one has. Still needs some refining as I'm not so good dialing in exactly what I want and don't want in feel. Is my goto 200bx.
    2. 2JZ Pro Missile, a serious demon that still needs taming. Went a little off the walls on this one with the new RT7 rims, solid body, and trying some downforce. It was mostly built to run up Transfagarason. Be warned, she's very quick but very snappy, and not at all easy. The wing certainly doesn't help but also helps at the same time, it's a whole different feeling.
    3. Type-X More V2, a D-troxx build, little outdated but these rotas <3 lol. This one is mostly just for looks these days as I run my main the most out of the 200bx's. The older sounds put me off from fully enjoying this one.

I have many many more 200bx's as I've tried many different builds, styles, and tunes but don't wanna overload on these. Kinda find that the more stock it is, the more fun it is.

    1 - Grand Marshal:

This is an all round beast and extremely easy to drift. Built to cruise and drift and it does them both very well. Had to change rads cause I have no clue what the modded one I was using is, high performance does overheat so trying the drag rad. Seems fine so far. This is the one I'd believe to hit high on your categories.

    1 - Pessima (old):

Haven't touched this one in a while but it's sooooo good to look at XD Does use bits and pieces of the AX53 JDM pessima mod. Could be a good drift car but have yet to go through tuning to to much. Still decent for what it is tho.

I have tons more but I think this is a good start. Highly recommend the grand marshal for sure. As for the 200bx's, as I stated in earlier post, I can't seem to get them exactly right and perhaps you might have some insight.
See how it goes from here and perhaps next time I include some d series, some bmw and volvo like drift builds too.

    Drifting is life.

So, funny story, after like half a bottle of vodka last night, I suddenly discovered I had like the actual dumbest drift configs in my game all of a sudden. I don't remember making them. this is a problem. Do you want to test them? They are literally the worst ideas like ever. They do drift, and they are all 100% base game compatible. I'm so stupid.

Hi mate! Totally agree with your last quote, and I also think the Grand Marshal is the easiest car to drift, gotta love it. Though, the 200bx has a lot more style. You mentioned the RT7 mod, and I saw it on the forum somewhere, but couldn't find it anymore. Would you mind sending me the link? That wheel is such a beauty. Thanks x
