I don't know why everyone is toxic and says its unprofessional. I love the BRZ/GT86, also the RX7, some great mods. little bug (floppy Exhaust) but awesome. Love the variation of bodykits. Would love to see some other engines. Maybe a 2JZ? also would love to see if some could make/import the design of JP-Performance GT86 "2Crazy"
So, adding to my other report which is to do with the front right fender vanishing upon impact, like R4NKING said, the double exhaust appears to be flopping and not in place. To clarify what i and R4NKING are talking about, here's a picture below: --- Post updated --- A few minor spikes when being crushed on the roof on the Toyota GT: Another minor issue, small glass spec floating on the doors on the Toyota GT: Rear interior dash-board thing, sticks out through the back window of the Toyota GT: --- Post updated --- Looking at small issues, so far, the other big concern is the front right fender, no big bugs or issues. just some small issues that could be fixed within the future perhaps. Small problem with the Highway Patrol (Police) package, the livery appears to stick onto the Door Mirror on both sides unless thats just extra detail? Another small problem is the rear LED's are attached to the trunk and not the bumper, so they float: --- Post updated --- Tuned config's rear bumper appears to stretch once removed from the vehicle itself: STI Concept M has the wrong exhausts (should be equipped with the "STI Concept Exhaust") STI Concept M also has interior issue, from the rear angle you can see the grey interior floating. Custom Type C also has the same issue with the rear bumper stretching:
So many toxic people in here arguing back and fourth over a meshslap just let it be and stop being a kid or maybe you already are. Please stay on topic
So after spending nearly an hour smashing up every config, i have come across some important issues: 1. Front right fender turns into an invisible material upon impact. 2. Stock Rear Bumper, Rear Diffuser = stretches when removed from the body of the vehicle Minor Issues Found: 1. Rear dash board goes through window on all vehicles (rear impact, roof impact, front impact) 2. Small glass spec floating 3. Certain config(s) has the wrong part(s) equipped. 4. Certain interior's are see-through facing a certain direction. (from rear) 5. Rear LED for Police Configs are attached to the wrong part of the car (should be bumper not trunk) 6. Police Livery ("US Police Livery") appears on the doors' Mirror's (unsure if that is suppose to happen) 7. Spikes appear when crushed by vehicle or objects.
Ah yes, the mod is up. I wish if there would eventually be face-lifted versions of these other than the FRS. --- Post updated --- Although I realized that the BRZ is probably the only one with that facelift.
With all of the talk about mesh-slaps on the forums, sure, this mod is far from the best real-world vehicle mod for BeamNG (after all, bugs and issues exist in its current state, but then again it's a beta), though it isn't the worst either. I'd say it falls somewhere in between those two groups. People who are fans of the GT86/BRZ in real life will still appreciate this mod at the very least.
True, sometimes we don’t really pay attention to the crashing physics, it’s more likely about all of the other important things.
Crashing is important in this game but it's not the only important thing, how a vehicle looks, drives, feels, sounds and etc are as important as, so just because something spikes or doesn't have 105% scratch made jbeam shouldn't be a reason to be called bad. Plus this game would die if only the people who scratch make stuff would be in charge of modding, we would have 23 thousand projects cancelled and the ones that don't would be veeeeerrry long going projects. On topic now the brz looks nice but has problems, would a GRMN and TRD configs be planned for the near future?
Thanks @yannis01186 for this mod! I know it's unfinished and obviously has issues, but I'm still having a lot of fun with it! Keep it up, and I hope to see more real world cars from you!
Yall should really look at gta modding community. They are not salty about non-scratch mods and like 90% of all mods use models from other games but that doesnt mean there are zero scratch mods. Really if there wont be so much hate from beam community, we could have had a lot more cool mods.
In GTA, cars work differently, most of them in the vanilla game are essentially meshslaps. Beam and GTA are two different games with two different communities, can't really compare either of them.
This. GTA cars don't have jbeam, "proper" powertrains or suspension, most of their colliders are predefined meshes that don't even deform with the mesh itself, not a great comparison at all.
ill compare this. Supra is basically a meshslap with some effort put into it. this car is basically the same. I agree that people should get less salty about models from other games. slapping a unmodified model on an unmodified jbeam is the worse kind of meshslap. but this brz and the supra both has work put into it. Stop being such a bunch of whiny lil twats. at least we are getting new mods. I appreciate the hard work of the modders out there who keeps on modding even with all you whiny people. Not everyone has a class in engineering and knows how to set shit up in video games. id say more then 75% of modders learn stuff as they start modding. There isnt a college class saying "how to jbeam physics" you bascially have to know what to do beforehand to make something dev quality. Trial and error works but look at life, trial and error ended up with scientist killed and took thousands of years to get us where we are at right now. trial and error with jbeam isnt something that drastic or fatal but its still using the real life physics as a base to work. so trial and error takes a lot of time and patience. Nothing is easy to mod in this game. just be happy people are working their ass off to bring you some form of content. (ignoring rusky meshslap) Scratch made contect should get attention just due to the amount of work put into it. but that doesnt mean "meshslap" didnt get worked on a shit ton to be where they are. in comparison ive been working on the hoonicorn for about 2 years now and im bascially not even halfway done. Im stuck at the suspension jbeam but modelling is still a huge wip even if i used the shell of the hoonicorn from forza. Thats ignoring the texture work which i barely started because i wanna finish the model before starting textures. Does it make it a bad mod if i used a forza mesh? if you ask me nope. the mesh is better then forza now. you can actually see the frame and the whole engine/suspension compartment because i took the time to make it as close to the real thing as possible. This bunch of dudes here took the time to set up the brz so it doesnt completely look like crap. its a wip and that happens. jeez even official cars get updates because bugs happens even with the best of us. Just appreciate the work people put into making mods. or enjoy not having new mods as often.
I, the audience and the person who has uploaded this mod and clearly has spent months developing, would appreciate we keep on topic and not discuss how "poorly made" the mod is. Not every mod you see NEEDS to be perfect. Yes, there can be improvements. It is up to the uploader whether it's in a state of WIP or they feel like they cant make anymore progress and it's released full. This section is meant for bug reports and feedback, not negative comments on how poorly made the mod is and that it shouldn't been on the forums. A lot of effort goes into mods, you cannot, what so ever, expect the mod to be perfect. Not every mod is. You have to accept that.
