Lots of tweaking done on about everything, from the mesh to JBeam adjusting etc. Not much to show unfortunately Did finally manage to add some decent glass to the car.
I've been busy modelling the inline 5 engine as used in the ST version. Intercooler does fit nicely between the front bumper and radiator as it does in real life Also started to do some custom parts, just for fun, like bumpers which are more suited for racing, and a racing exhaust. Still got to get around to do some proper texturing, as I'm getting a bit lost on how to do it properly..! Now it's mostly materials and a little texturing, but my texturing skills are rubbish and I'd like to make it a lot more realistic as with BeamNG's own vehicles. --- Post updated --- How it looks in-game --- Post updated ---
So after spending some more time on adjusting the JBeam, it now really has got the shape of the Focus. It may need a lot more finetuning as it still doesn't look as good as I'd like to when crashed. It even gets spikey when crashed very hard. Deformation has gotten WAY better though if I compare it with the original non-modified JBeam. Here are some pics. Tips and tricks are always welcome to improve the JBeam and crash behaviour
This is coming along very nicely and I'm very much looking forward to driving it! Keep up the good work!
Some different configs. Standard, ST, Race and Offroad. Also more refined JBeam and better deformation:
when are you going to add the glass breaking mesh? Cause that would make a hole big difference of a crash. Looks Great!
What he said! Maybe, going to take a lot of adjusting to create a somewhat decent rally car (4wd, engine specs, car interior etc.) It's FWD so probably not, or I have to create a fictional RWD version.
