The funny thing is a A8 isnt that much more expensive for normal parts engine brakes suspension because they use those parts in smaller cheaper audis as well the engine for example is the same you can get in a A4 the suspension is the same as in the A6 and the brakes cost the same to change as on my Skoda. The only diffrence is when a extra like the rear electric seats break wich they rarely do that can be expensive.
EDIT: Just looked up running costs if you run it for 5 years with 15k KM per year for a A8 L 50 TDI
Costs with depreciation: 1713€ per month
Costs without depriciation: 475€ per month
Other car for example a Audi A4 40 TDI
Costs with depreciation: 914€ per moth
    Without: 318€ per month
So basically a diffrence from around 100 euros per month for a car wich is alot bigger if it wasnt for depriciation but if you keep it till it breaks completly you dont have to worry about that also the A8 has a 5 year warranty the A4 only 2 years.

Pretty sure audi a8's dont use the same suspension as the a6's. But the again I dont know, just knowing that a8 should have a smoother ride.

Also the amount of depreciation per month hurts.

They both to my knowledge have a rather similar suspension beeing Air suspension and being on the same Base because they use VW´s MLB base architecture

I've done so many random car shells to train myself in Blender and I feel like I'm improving each time. I'll post all the latest here.

    The "ongoing" ones are:

    - VW T3 - this is the first where I've gone beyond the shell and started on the interior. I'm taking some liberties and not sticking 100% to the T3 design and I'm hoping to port this one to DayZ as it'd fit well.
    - Skoda Fabia
    - Audi A3
    - BMW X5 LM - a special V12 one-off of the first gen BMW X5

The A3 and Fabia I feel are my best ones yet, something about their poly flow and cleanliness that I'm really pleased with so far.

Spent most of today programming a memory patcher for Gran Turismo 4 to allow manual selection (or random) of the AI's cars, as opposed to them using similar cars to yours. Also patched the camera values to make the camera's attachment to the car less rigid like in GT3, and allow dynamic field of view adjustment (default of 90, using 100 in this video):

I also added a track overrider, as there are some restrictions on tracks (such as the pre-war cars not being allowed in non-time trial races, and only 2 cars being allowed on rally tracks) that I wanted to lift.

    Hmmmmmm...

Would it be possible to add/remove cars entirely or is that purely a function of the disc?

Like: if you had the model and performance data of a car that was not in GT4 at all, would it be possible to add that car to the game via whatever method you're using? (Which I assume involves and emulator)

Nope, GT4's files are still scrambled/encrypted, so the only mods that can be made are memory edits. It'll be cracked soon enough but don't hold your breath even then - GT1 and 2 have been moddable for a while now and importing models still hasn't been figured out, the only way new cars can be added is to tweak the models of existing ones in a hex editor. GT3 and 4 will be years out at best.

You in the market for one?

I don’t have any experience with Maximas either good or bad, but looking through Sacramento’s Craigslist, holy crap are all those cars clean. No rust at all in the half page of cars I looked through, absolutely unheard of in the Midwest. Cars being from out of state is a big selling point here just because of the terrible rust. Basically any car 15ish years or older will have that “signature” Minnesota rust behind the rear wheels or on the side skirts or lower doors. The amount of people that don’t invest in touch-up paint astounds me.

    yeah i am.
and yes, living in california is a great blessing when it comes to the condition of cars. No rust. ever. even cars near the coast that get a lot of salt exposure have like no rust.
    --- Post updated ---
and it's funny because i can instantly tell when someone is lying saying 'its an instate car, never left' and it has a ton of rust like yeah if you lived in Truckee or somewhere way up north sure, but even then its really hard to get rust.
