Last 1/3 of drag strip on West Coast USA is not prepped like the first part

Just as the title says. Tested in safe mode.

How to reproduce:

1. Go to the drag strip on West Coast USA with a powerful car (Barstow drag config)
2. In the first 2/3 of the track, launch with full throttle or transbrake and notice good traction
3. Drive to the 90° crossing before the finish line, launch again and notice bad traction like on a regular road

This is also noticeable when driving a very high power car where you will lose all traction at the end and probably spin out.

not to big of an issue, but i find i can't get any faster than this because of the loss of traction near the end in the quarter mile

 

ya they should fix that its not relistic

 

I don't have a lot of knowledge on this stuff so I might be missing something here, but after looking up photos of drag strips on Google, most of them seem to be "sticky" right until the end. Is this a different situation?

 

Here they mention that they apply chemical to full length of track, but prepping seems to bit more complex thing than just to apply stuff on track:

So you are correct that they seem to prep strip to finishline and maybe bit after that too?

NHRA rule book might give more details, but I could not manage to find such with my limited time.

Pre 2008 might also be different than after 2008 as there was some serious accidents at 2008 which did change some things.
