Why having more thanks will make you release the map earlier? Is it already done? What if you didn't get your Thanks? Would have you worked on the map more?

    Lol
    Nice modeling.

Question: If I edit some parts on some of Gabe's models (i.e. bumpers), will I have to redo the UV for the whole thing or can I just do the parts I've edited?

There is no point trying to completely redo them, that would be an almost impossible job if you were trying to use the same textures. I believe that editing the model them opening the UV editor should preserve the old maps you could just add your new bits to a blank bit of the UV. It's not made easier by how tights gabe packs his maps.

Redome the rear of the Mustang.

There still are some ugly spots to fix though.

Also working on the interior...should I add more polys on the gauges and on the steering wheel or is there any other way to get rid of those sharp edges on cylinders?

You need more body/frame mass for the suspension to do anything. Once you've got a cab and some load, the suspension will be doing most of the flexing.

Yes! The rear end looks a lot better now. One thing you may want to address on this model is the rear quarter panels, which are a little wobbly from memory. Apart from that, it's a great model.

The circles for the gauges would definitely benefit from being higher poly, as they will be seen close up in cockpit view. Essentially, the interior, when it will be viewed from inside like in this case, can have the same or higher poly density to the exterior. Only for models where the interior is not being viewed from inside (e.g Grand Theft Auto) is the density significantly less than that of the exterior. Finer details such as the needles can have less polys and look good, while larger objects require more polys.

Thanks for the feedback and tipps.
Yeah it's because of my weird topology on the rear panel:
    1.JPG
It's not made out of uniform squares..I thought it would be better if the edgeloops were following the shape of the wheelarch...but it isn't...I might do a whole retopology on the frame if it stands out a lot ingame.
At least I noticed this when making the front fender. Edgeflow makes a difference.
    3.JPG
Don't mind the overlapping edges. It's just Mayas viewport 2.0 messing that up when the camera is far from the object.
