Game is running like a Powerpoint presentation

I bought the game a few days ago on the steam sale. I started it up and I started a map and it ran at 1 frame per second and I couldnt do anything. I reinstalled my gpu drivers, flashed a newer BIOS and everything I could think of. It didnt help at all. I lowered all of my settings to low or turned stuff off if possible and I got 10 fps. This shouldnt be a thing especially because my PC is on the higher end. And when I check in MSI Afterburner my GPU and CPU usage are under 20%.

OS: Win 10 17134
CPU: Intel Core i7-3820 @3.6GHz
RAM: 8x4GB 32GB total quad channel @1.6GHz
GPU: GTX 1070 Ti
PSU: CM Silent Pro Hybrid 1050W 80+Gold
And the game is on my older ssd which has more games on it and every other game works.

 

Do you have Windows 10 game mode enabled? There is a sticky topic about it here https://beamng.com/threads/notice-turn-off-windows-10-game-mode.62635/

If that is already disabled, then it is bit odd, most certainly you should be able to run game really well, even your CPU is older model CPU evolution has been rather slow.

Now CPU load comes in two variety, load of all CPU cores and load of single core.

Here you can see how CPU load is 18% according to Corsair Link, but in reality CPU is maxed out as one of the cores is at 100% because high framerate and most demanding vehicle in BeamNG running there.


It is possible that something is causing your CPU's single core working much more than it should be working, could be that game mode or something else, only way is to open task list and see which is causing such high load if there is any.

 

I dont have the Game mode enabled and all of my threads are under 50% load during the slideshow. I dont know what to do. I will probably refund the game and buy it later when I figure out what is causing this
