She's... okay. I don't really like how quiet her vocals are, because you have to crank it up to hear her more clearly (and I rather not need to do that to begin with).
I can hear her vocals just fine. I just get very annoyed by them. I tend to be annoyed by whisper vocals in general, though I do have a feeling it's becoming less of a problem in my life. By the way, I'm just curious as to what you think of the Black Eyed Peas.
Okay By the way, I have 2 questions for you. 1. Did you listen to Jessica Simpson yet? If you didn't, that's fine. I don't blame you whatsoever. 2. Are there any musicians you hate that you haven't talked about on here yet?
1. Nope. 2. That would definitely go to Katy Perry. I don't really like her singing, and most of her new songs are so bland that I wonder if she had any musical creativity by that point. Fireworks is meh, Hot N' Cold is her only somewhat okay song, although even in that her singing kinda takes away from the song. The rest, I didn't even bother (asides from roar but that was pretty tacky and cringy) because they were so uninteresting I could care less about what new song she releases now.
As for Jessica Simpson, I found out that she had a music career when I was watching a Todd In The Shadows video. The video was "Top 10 Worst Hit Songs Of 2004". Number 10 was Jessica Simpson's song "With You" and I was shocked it was that low on the list. If that was my list, I would put on Number 1. I'm not even joking. The song is horrible. I really think you should listen to the first 30 or so seconds of it just to see how bad it is. You do not have to listen to it if you don't want to. If you only listen to the first 10 seconds of the song, you will probably hate it from the first 6 to 10 seconds alone. As for Katy Perry, I don't think I could care that much less about her to be honest.
Billie Eilish. One of the roommates that used to be here apparently did music production. They were playing "bad guy" one time (this is before I knew of the song) couldn't hear the lyrics through the wall, just the beat, and I wondered what garbage they were making because it sounded like something made in a bedroom. One of the worst things I've ever heard, It wasn't until I was going through a "songs of 2019" playlist on either Spotify or Youtube that I realised it was an actual song. Hearing the vocals made it even worse. I guess anything can become popular these days when they have a copy of Logic and autotune.
I actually don't mind the beat. I just really dislike the vocals. If you dislike the beat, that's totally fine. I know everyone has different opinions.
Also, not sure how to explain it but what's with the majority of male artists sounding the same and having the same style more and more recently? Kind of like they're faking their voice or screeching I guess. Not sure what genre it is? Like trying to be country but bad and not american? An example:
I guess I don't know any other way to explain it. It's the like soft voice, close to the mic and then strained vocals for the louder parts and generic acoustic instrumentals. Is this a genre?
This shit: Fuck this zero talent annoying ass bullshit. Oh, and most modern pop outside of Billie Eilish. Love her music, can't stand the rest of the pop-crap genre. Modern Rap is another one that can get fucked. Country of the last 10 years or so can eat my ass. FFDP, Avenged Sevenfold, etc. type of "edgy" metal that gives the rest of the genre a bad name. I swear music died after 2009.
The Silent Child song sounds like a total joke. I'm fine with your opinion on Billie Eilish. I haven't heard much modern rap (at least not yet). I do not like modern country. It sounds overproduced, fake, and generic in my opinion. I don't hate Five Finger Death Punch or Avenged Sevenfold, but I don't love them either. As for the 2009 part, some people think music died before then. I think pop died after the One Direction, Ke$ha, and Justin Bieber "Baby" era of music.
Oh boy a thread where i can express hatred! Musicians I hate are: 1: That Billy Eyelash guy. 2: Rappers whose name that starts with "lil" 3: Any Youtuber who thought their internet fame was the yellow brick road to a professional music career. 4: Myself.
