what makes you think it's not japanese or italian? I could see this badge almost being a lexus/infiniti/acura type luxury sub-brand-thing, which would make sense if it were a new high end "ibishu" sports car.

 

I hope we see an H-series passenger van in the next "minor" update. Preferably with an airport parking shuttle skin?

I'd LOVE to see a d-series suv, possibly a cross between a suburban of the same vintage and a centurion, with a removable rear cap like Manfred was saying- could it possibly be the first-gen or maybe second-gen Roamer?

 

2nd gen roamer sounds about right, first gen uses pre-facelift d15 front.

 

yeah, i was thinking that the first would be more along the lines of the '73-'91 suburban, possibly with design ques from the sixth, seventh, and possibly eight gen f-series.

On another note, i feel as though the d-series-bronco needs a new/different front fascia, quite a bit like the now-defunct Bandito's front fascia.


This got me thinking, due to the D-series's slightly smaller size and overall less imposing design, maybe it should more closely follow the design language of the Bronco II, rather than the bronco.

(by the way, are bucket seats up front going to be an option? having a bench seat up front in a two door vehicle like this seems really, really strange, especially for a vehicle from the late eighties into the early nineties.)

 

One thing i‘m strangely excited about are the glass particle effects tbh. I thing, that the new car will be some sort of retro french/italian „supercar“

 

I think he said that because the badge doesn't look Japanese or Italian to some people, like me. The difference is, I was very clear in my post that nothing can be said for certain. Apart from the year, I have no idea how he deduced the other information.

Also, glad to have reserved my spot on the Historic 1000th Page. I will save some pixels from this moment in a jar, and then tell my future grandkids to sell the jar and buy a spaceship.

Ok, so lets say career mode has racing. There would be classes or maybe even a PI system like forza. Start game cars would be like covets and pessimas, and endgame cars would be SBRs and K serieses. But literally every car has a variant that is pretty slow and could be used in slower classes, like the KC4 K series, base RWD sbr and bolide 320. And the slow cars have faster versions too (street tnes, TTsport ETKi, pessima GTz ect). i doubt this would be a hypercar due to this (if this vehilce is built to be in career). my guess is a mid engined (the front looks too low and sharp to store an engine) sports car, probably post 2000s that has slower, less powerful variants and also much faster versions for higher classes. It may also be electric but im not even going to guess at that.

 

Well it's been around 3 years since Career mode was slightly teased, and we haven't seen or heard much on it. I really wonder what it's like in it's current state.

 

i know, this is a relatively bad comparison due to camera angles and whatnot, but i'm working with what i've been i given here, okay.

if you look at the distance from the edge of the cab to the back of the little raked panel where the cap meets the cab, the d-series version is much more heavily raked, and a tad bit thinner in comparison to it's Bronco brethren, which i think is what makes the back look slightly disproportionately long.

-also the 'bed' aft of the wheelarches may be a bit too long, as is the distance between the back of the door and the front of the rear wheel arch, in comparison to the distance between the back of the front wheel arch and the front of the front doors-

 

I'm not trying to shut down the conversation, but I really don't think anything more can be said about the preview image that isn't a wild guess or "I waunt it."

So on another topic, what do you guys think will be the next vehicle to be revamped after the Grand Marshal and D-Series? It's pretty much confirmed that the Roamer and Van are going to get the special treatment next, but what will come after?

I think it'll probably be some of the older vehicles (older as in added to the game first), since the pickup and fullsize were in the first version of the game. Logically, it would be the Covet or Bolide, since they were released at the same time. Next come the Pigeon and new Pessima, as they were added shortly after. It seems like they are generally going in order of release, even if the D-Series technically came before the Grand Marshall.

Spoiler: My personal ranking of what I think needs a revamp most

1. Pigeon. It needs practically everything. Jbeam rework, remodeling, extra parts, opening tailgate, etc. Additionally, I'm shocked that we never got a mod that puts a Reliant Robin-like body on the Pigeon's frame. It wouldn't make sense for the devs to do it officially, but it would make a great mod.
2. As far as I know, nothing has been done to the Bolide other than a new engine sound in a year or two. It's a supercar, it needs more supercar parts. Also a targa version and more interesting configurations. (I was going to say a Magnum, P.I. inspired configuration since we got a config for the D-Series referencing the Fall Guy, but the car in that show was basically just an unmodified 308.)
3. Covet. It's been remodeled like twice in the past year, but proportionally the front still looks a little weird to me. A proper sedan is a must, because Narwhal's is broken and the other one is very basic. Wagon and CRX-type bodies would be awesome too, but I wouldn't count on it. So many interesting things can be done with a Civic replica, it's sure to get a ton of stuff if and when it gets a remaster.
4. 1996 Pessima. For such a boring car, it needs more conventional parts. A sunroof like the Sunburst has would be a good start.
   
5. Finally, the LeGran. This is a bit of a wild card, since there are cars that also need revamps much older than it, but as fun as it is to drive and crash it's definitely incomplete. The engine model and interior are both extremely basic, and I can't help but think we need an official wagon (OverPower's was amazing, but it's long broken now). Also, a facelift like the Moonhawk has with composite headlights would be interesting.

Now that I think about it, a lot of these things would probably work better as mods.

 

The Pigeon absolutely needs to be updated. It's beyond outdated at this point.

I'd imagine it'd be included in an H-series revamp, as well as some alternate fascia parts, race config, and one or two new upfits
