I need the doors and trunk separated. Also a few fixes to the body to make it smooth.

You need extra vertices so you can actually separate the correct faces from them. If you separate them now, you'll end up with a door that has part of the fender attached.

(I'm not good at 3D modelling myself,so excuse the horrible explanation)

Remember that you will need door sills and bottom side of the door.I think it would be better to find a model which already have doors separated. I can send you one from HUM3d, but it needs to be remade to have underbonnet part an less polys. I can do it, so just pm.

Easiest way, make plane shape of the door:
    upload_2019-12-1_17-57-55.png

Place door shape plane close to car, then select car, edit mode, select faces that need to be cut for a door:
    upload_2019-12-1_17-58-58.png

Tab to object mode, then select shape of door and shift right click car, hit tab key again, hit 5 from they keypad, rotate view so that it is straight from the side and select knife project from left:
    upload_2019-12-1_18-2-23.png

Hit P choose selection from popup:
    upload_2019-12-1_18-4-35.png

And there you have your door cut out and separated as new object:
    upload_2019-12-1_18-5-49.png upload_2019-12-1_18-13-41.png

But do note, you need to clean up edge flow after this, also I don't know if they changed something between 2.8 and 2.78a, I'm using latter. Also probably works best on quads and you have Triangles.

To convert Triangles to quads, select Triangle faces you wish to convert, then hit Ctrl+F and select Tris to Quads from popup menu.

Overall it is best to work with Quads as much as possible, I use even Ngons a lot and just convert them to quads after done as it is easier than trying to maintain perfect edgeflow before seeing the shape. Ngons are faces that are formed from more than 4 vertices.

Now there are other ways to make a cut, you can even do just select edge hit W and choose subdivide, but that takes ages and you need to do a lot of deleting and connecting, way I show is not proper, but it is quick hack to get things done, sometimes it bugs out a bit and you need to try again, but works for me.

Hmmm geometry looks strange. I'll search for another model. For now, try to model it yourslf using references. I'll PM you a model if/when I'll find it.

Alright. 1988-1993 would be ideal for the mod. Thanks.

Difference is just some trim and lights, hood and trunk lid from 1982/3-1993. Pre 1982 is still same, except front fenders are also different.

Even 144 is very close, but has again different fenders and door handles, small changes to doors, hood, indicators, bumpers, grille, but essentially it is same than 244 and 240 just adds tiny changes to parts bolted on that body :
    upload_2019-12-6_19-41-8.png upload_2019-12-6_19-42-16.png upload_2019-12-6_19-44-43.png upload_2019-12-6_19-45-28.png upload_2019-12-6_19-48-21.png

Mostly model needs to be made from photos anyway, blueprints will not show any shapes of details, just rough guide to keep outer dimensions correct, to place windows and doors correctly etc.

Swedes made car so that when you model a body to it, you can make anything from 144 onwards by changing body panels, doors and such things bolted on to body.

Of course interior has changed a lot and engines + running gear too, but you have essentially one size fits for all car body here.

I have made progress with the model. Could someone separate the doors and trunk for me? I just can not get it right. Just pm me. After that it should be ready for a beta release.

Almost. I need the model completed to finish that though. Currently the doors are fused to the body.
