True, I'll have to delete a few edge loops, that'll make it easier to work on also

I think poly wise perfect. Definitely skill with 3d modeling I'd present. I think that is the perfect sweet spot for beamng look at in game cars.

If you look at gabe's cars, the doors and roof have a lot less polygons.

A little progress on the HY, I made the front bumper and headlight holding things and started work the side panels.

Next thing I'll make is corrugated metal on the whole thing, but first I want to remake the turn signal part as the polyflow there is terrible and causes odd reflections.

I really like the model so far:) hope it gets in game. Would be a shame to see such a great model go to waste:/

Yeah, his engines are fewer polygons than mine too, and that Beetle is way more than my and Gabes cars. Doesn't mean it's always best to do exactly what someone else does though. I don't see any issues with how many polygons he's using, he's using them all perfectly well and the mesh is pretty clean.

Sometimes it feels like people just try to say something constructive, like, "because someone else said it about a model with the same poly density" without actually knowing if it also applies here :/ It all depends on how messy the model is. Sometimes someone can handle a 100k car model just fine(that Beetle was a good example of that), but someone else might not be able to handle just 10k. All depends on skill and stage of the development of the car.

No offense to anyone btw^. Idk if that's the case here at all and stuff.

I suggest you use UV mapping to make corrugation, rather than actually modeling it.

It's been discussed a while ago, and I'd use normal maps but T3D doesn't support normal map reflections so it'll look crap.

Improved the headlights on polo and added functional blinkers on the front as well. I also modeled and textured a proper underbody for it :)
Oh, and mudguards are now their own part so you can remove them if you want to. They're installed on the gravel version by default.

Just wanted to share that I've fixed the polyflow on the rear quarter panel(after many different approaches and crashes).
    1.JPG
Now I have to fix its shape so it'll finnaly look like a '67 Mustang GT500.
And here is the steeringwheel. I still have to increase the edges on the gauges but the quarter panel is more important right now.

I hope the booleans holes won't make any trouble in the future...as they always do.
    Anyways thanks for reading :)
