You can now use the heavy duty dually axle with 5/6/8 lug options. And there already are oversized tires?

I was thinking something a little more than what we have now...

Bob Chandler's '74 F250 had military truck axles, 48" tires, AWS, and an awesome looking air intake for an upgraded 7.3L V8. The AWS isn't necessary; that's probably a lot more complicated than what's on the Pessima.

That's probably a little bit out of the realm of official content. Honestly it wouldn't be hard to make for a modder. AWS is just two front axles with a hydraulic setup on the rear (and usually the front too, due to huge tires being hard on steering linkages).

I wouldn't expect the devs to go higher than a 1 ton axle, especially for the D series. 2.5 and 5 ton axles are wicked overkill.

I don't expect it, but I didn't expect a rock crawler Hopper either, and this should be easier than that was.

it'd be cool to have a straight pipe exhaust for the 6.0 diesel and more turbo options for it and drop hitch

The D-Series has a lack of cooling, even with the high performance radiator. My 524 horsepower D-Series nascar thing overheats within one minute of full throttle at ATE-Ona raceway, and about two minutes in colder temperature, such as gridmap. Before the update, I had some oil cooling issues as well. So if you guys could add an oil cooler and add a drag radiator, or just improve the performance one, that would be great.

It should be in there somewhere. Discussion for this thing has been floating around since it appeared in there around 2016 - @MotherTrucker02 is the originator of this photo, and I would presume that they would know where to find it.

I sure hope it hasn't been removed. That would be a bad sign for its continued development.

don't ask me, I didn't remove it. all I'm going off is that it used to be in the same file as the push bumper, and now that's on its own.

Also, on a slightly unrelated note, I just discovered that the hopper's offroad part meshes (the bullbars, rocksliders, the rear tire mount for the hoppler and an unused "plate" roofrack) are in the common folder, suggesting they might also go on the short d15?

    Well.
    Maybe.
Pushing such an un-aerodynamic shape at high speed puts (now hear me out here) a bit of stress on the engine, therefore (now HEAR ME OUT HERE) making it hot.
    Maybe.
    Possibly.

@CaptainZoll The wrecker bed was removed because it was pointless, not because the wrecker is being deprecated. I'm pretty sure the same is true for the bumper.

Well we got the cowl hood today.

I assume they're reserving stuff like flatbeds and cargo box upfits for the van to reduce duplication, even though it would be realistic to have them on the truck as well.

I just realized, the D-Series doesn't have shift lights, and most of the other vehicles do.. I guess that's one more thing that could be added.

Did they ever make shift lights for pickup trucks? I honestly don't know.

To my knowledge most shift light kits are really generic, all of the ones I pulled up can be put on any 4/6/8 cylinder engine. Now that we have the track D-Series it makes a lot of sense for it to have one, not that there's much reason to actively not have it either.

As of 0.17, the SBR didn't have a shift light option either. Not sure if it does in 0.18

Damn, you guys already added an ultra high performance radiator...

Wow, it works very nice. It stays very consistent in temperature. I could complete multiple laps without it going past the halfway mark. The oil isn't a problem either, which, I used to have many overheating problems with that... But, cooling is working great guys!
