I can't believe I have to explain this. Something tells me you never heard this figure of speech before. Can you blame him though? I know I certainly can't. Chuck absolutely hates electric vehicles for some pretty stupid reasons. He has a decent track record of leaving me absolutely appalled with some of the things he runs his mouth about, or in this case, the computer equivalent of "running your mouth." I won't pretend that electric vehicles are flawless and infallible, but they are definitely not as bad as he makes them out to be. Did you get the right cars? Those all look, well, not boring. The Renault Alpine A110 is my favorite of the bunch. Absolutely adore that car's design. That sounds great. Belasco City looks really weird at night without any lights on. Like if there was a citywide power outage going on. --- Post updated --- Honestly, I don't remember having any problem with the people who brought it up. If it made the Piccolina any better, I was all for it. A little historical accuracy can go a long way. It's stupid it had to escalate into said multi-month long fight.
Well... As for the reverse-uno-card car... I'm guessing turbo i4 or i5 standard (hopefully i5, we have too many i4 and exactly 0 i5), I'd only expect an i3 if we get a Euro spec version, which would set a very welcome precedent. As for performance spec versions, I have no idea. Without knowing how big this is, a performance engine could be anything from a really big turbo on an i4 all the way up to a shoehorned V8. Really hoping for a hill climb and track config whatever the top engine ends up being, we need more hillclimb cars. If we ever get a GT3 or hill climb K-Series it would probably be my favorite car in game.
Thank you for explaining that to me No, I can't blame SuperAusten64 for bringing up Shotgun Chuck. Thank you for the information about Shotgun Chuck and thank you for explaining the "cry a river" thing to me.
He's stated before that he has autism. That's not at all a bad thing, and he's no less of a person because of it, but (I'm assuming) that just means he may have trouble understanding figure of speech. Absolutely, and it isn't just electric cars either. Any car made since 1994, hell, any car with a computer in it, is worse than a certain very bad German Austrian man that I am only referencing as a common Internet figure of speech to him. Sure I talk about him a lot, but he hasn't acknowledged that what he says isn't objective and that other people have opinions just as valid as his (perhaps more valid, because he keeps saying things that just flat out aren't true, like the time he claimed windmills cause brain damage), so I'm not going to stop bashing him.
Thank you SuperAusten64. Not only are you good at giving people constructive criticism, but you are also good at giving people information and your posts can be pretty funny sometimes.
It's a modern Crossover - SUV thing. yay. Now we can stop having kids complaining that there are no modern vehicles in the game (outside of a super- hyper car). When Spoiler I'm making a joke here
We should do a poll just for fun to find out who thinks it's a compact crossover and who thinks it's a hatchback. @crazikyle, could you help out with that?
Hmmm... Yep, it's officially automatically American and will have an I6 engine because it shares a rear quarter window similar to the AMC Gremlin, its true only real life counterpart /s --- Post updated --- Make sure you add an option on the poll for who thinks they don't give a flying fuck and are just appreciative that we're getting a new car. also /s kind of, but not really
Judging by the look of the wheel arches, I guess it's gonna be a small crossover, something like a GLA
So me wanting something is me being ungrateful... I remember why I don't post in this section anymore...
It's like someone giving you a car for Christmas and you say "yeah that's cool but why isn't it in blue?" That's literally the definition of ungratefullness
This probably has been said before, but I am not going to go through the last couple pages because I'm lazy. This car is probably going to get some kind of hot-hatch variant, which will probably be cool. About that, what types of variants would this thing have? Like, we have several cars which are filled with normal/everyday configs, but like 2-3 racing or something else configs. I can't really think of any 'other' configs for this car other then normal 2010s hatchback stuff.
Understood. At least now he knows what I meant now. The thing is, there has been post 1994 cars that are really good. I do see some potential issues in computers being put in cars, hacking and viruses being one, but I'm also sure that they can be very helpful and convenient. Most likely the hacking and virus issue will be sorted out. Regarding windmills, odds are you probably would get brain damage from the trauma of being struck in the head by a roughly 120 ft blade that weighs roughly 11,500 lbs. That's if you somehow survived, whether God sent you a gift wrapped miracle, or the Grim Reaper was having his coffee break at Starbucks and forgot you were next in line on his list of obituaries. Yeah, I'm sure he means some other strange thing is the reason why a windmill would cause you brain damage. Also, can't forget the bicycles.
These screen grabs from the video display the lack of black plastic body cladding that every crossover has. Also, the car looks too low to the ground to be a crossover. So I guess it's confirmed to be European then.
I really want the Gavril Bandit from RoR to make a comeback, albeit in a batshit crazy, modern muscle form. I think there's a definitive gap in the automotive profile here that it would fill perfectly.
