Spent the last week or so to try and get SSAO2 from T3D to work, worked with a breeze on the early Beamng version and still work on the techdemo but havent got it running in the last versions. Work stalled. Beamng is one hell of a game, love every new update, function and quirk every day so want to contribute to that.

IRL im doing the appropriate mods to register my freshly imported 08 Infiniti G35 sedan (6speed manual Sport) which is going to be my new daily driver/drifter. If i get my M35 Stagea GTR done and sold this spring ill sort a twin turbo kit for a modest 500whp for the daily.

Well my December review so far, found out at the start of the month a close friend's Dad has stage 4 cancer and shes going through a rough time with it so not really good I feel sorry for her to lose her dad before the age of 30, as for the rest of the Month, went to see Star Wars the Rise of Skywalker, which was a good way to end the series once and for all and I hope Disney NEVER restarts the series at Star Wars X and stuff with the original cast, I hope they let that saga end and do something better, watched the entire season of For All Mankind which was good it was a really good What If series and its back for season 2 next year, watched The Mandalorian as well which was really good to see, as for Christmas it was good a Raspberry Pi 4 and a few other things which was good, but now its the 28th Dec and that means its the Annual End of Year party for me and thats normally about 55 people or so but since this December has been a rather bit shitty its down to about 28 people so its not so bad, but hopefully 2020 will be better

As for 2020, Impeachment Finale, Brexit, 29th Birthday, Formula 1, Hopefully Ferrari / Red Bull can take down that German Panzer Tank from Stuttgart *Cough* Mercedes AMG F1 *Cough* ,W series and anything else that come

So after a lot of trouble I finally managed to beef up my old buddy with a new gpu. Most of performance my machine can
do ended up to be a GTX 1050 ti. Then, ahum, I took it home and installed it.. troubles right from the start.. beeping pc
on booting several times and when I finally got it working it fried after an hour and a half just while loading Los Injurus
The card was done, it drew lines across my screen and wasn't functioning anymore. So I went a little paranoid and spent
two days studying 'GPU SCIENCE'. The case was clear : faulty card. So took it back to the retailer ( where nobody seemed
surprised ). They stuck it in their test bench for a minute and concluded the obvious : "Faulty card, happens once in while,
you seemed to have purchased the last one so we can send you another one in a few days if you want. Or we can hook you
up with a GTX 1650 for five extra bucks." Didn't want to wait any longer since I quickly got used to the boost in performance
so I took the 1650 along with me and now everything seems fine. Maybe wait couple a days and then I might change my
signature !

I spent my entire Friday in the hospital because I swallowed a part that had a little bone in it. The throat pain turned out to be a little injury from the bone which was not visible by X-ray.

 

Okay, I have 2 questions for you

1. What did you do to get stuck in the arctic without a degree?
2. Was there any type of job you were wanting to get?

I know a lot of people can't handle the cold, but I can't handle the hot. I think hot weather is really bad because it's uncomfortable and there's bees and wasps (which I have a phobia of) in that type of weather.

And I have two answers for you!

1.) I was immature and partied way too hard along with my studies - then *very* nearly ended up as a smokey, dark smudge in a cornfield because of it (no BAC, just very fatigued - unfit to fly), which led to extreme anxiety and extreme-r depression on top of an absolutely massive academic and employment workload. I actually continued my studies for almost a year afterwards - completed a single class and completely ruined myself financially.

2.) I was finishing two degrees in commercial aviation while also working to achieve a commercial pilot's licence with the eventual goal of employment with a specific major airline.

I'm still scared absolutely shitless almost every time I fly and haven't been pilot in command of an airplane in about three years now. I miss it horribly every single day.

My honest advice though - don't push yourself too hard and get killed for a degree or job of any kind, take care of your physical and mental health then monitor it closely - prudence *is not* laziness.
