I got wind of a Fieri SE abandoned at a campsite in Utha. Drove down in the van with the trailer and $100. I was told by my mate that the owner was eager to sell it, he was asking for $150, however he accepted $100. He owned the car for 20 years, and it only had 1 owner before that from 1987-1999. He used it weekly, so the mileage was fairly high. He crashed the car 10 years ago and never got round to repairing it. We removed the tape from the window before photographing it, so the interior itself hasn't been open to the elements (Was very well wrapped), however it's still quite modly. It has 134,425 miles on the clock. We pushed it to the trailer as we did not have a spare battery and wanted to get it fixed in the workshop. The owner was very helpful, so I gave him an extra $20 for saving me a lot of hard work. I asked if he wanted to buy it back when its done, and he seemed fairly keen on the idea. I stopped off at a parts shop on the way back to buy a battery and some new hoses as most were perished badly. I changed the oil, battery, replaced the perished hoses, changed the brake fluid and it worked straight away! It has no power steering. Lucky to say these things were not on par with their Japanese rivals in terms of reliability and performance.
I was waiting for next order and see pessima arriving. So I walked to him. Brien: Hey I want to get check on this car Me: Ok just give me keys and go to waiting room I will come to you when I am done. So I got the car to the garage and started to check After search I found out that brakes are good, spring are bad and has few dent on front bumper. For engine it needs new spark plug So I walked to @brien_w and sayd: brakes are good body is good. Now to the problems it needs new front 2 springs, and engine needs 1 new spark plug, and has few dents on the bumper
Alright, I’ll fix it myself. Can I buy the plugs and springs from here? How much will the look over be?
Springs(2) will be 85dollars with better quality. Spark plugs will be in pack that is 4 of them.It will cost if you need stock that will be 15dollars sporty spark plugs will cost 25dollars --- Post updated --- Got to work with my pessima. Installed sport exhaust and installed front bumper support got windshield fluid and cleared codes installed new oxygen sensor and check engine light gone. Now I need to install ABS speed sensor. I will work on it today I know that it will take about 15minutes
I did it, I managed to completely fuck up the whole front end on the red Hopper while off-roading. I don't really want to fix the thing since I've lost interest in it compared to my yellow one, but I still do need a car for commuting to and from work so I'll have to buy a new car. I usually don't do this but I gave in and bought a car from a dealership. It's a 1993 D15 ( 4.5L) V8 4WD, with some extras added on from factory. I bought the thing for 7 grand with 61,000 miles on the clock and it has zero rust on it, very good deal in my opinion. I don't really plan to modify it since I want it to be a reliable commuter, but it would be nice to swap in the more powerful 5.5L V8 at some point and time for towing purposes.
Just give me the cheapest spark plugs and springs. *Dennis hands me the parts and I pay the $100. Then, I start to head home.*
After acquiring a new vehicle, I begin the journey to WCUSA. Where I will then catch a flight to the East Coast.
" Well I was planning on going to a salvage yard auction to find a good deal on a damaged car. If you want, you can come with me in my truck."
I've decided to leave Utah and my crappy trailer behind. I'm going to move back to Maine, get my job at the office back, and see if I can become successful there. Trip will take a while, and taking it in the Pessima will suck.
" Sure, I'll see you when I get there." I hang up the phone and get into my truck, and start to drive to Denis's listed address. When I arrive at the campsite, he is standing near the road with some tools and a backpack. He climbs in when I stop the truck, and I continue to drive on when he closes the door. I maneuver the truck around the campsite and some of the backroads, until I merge onto the local highway heading towards Los Injurus. " When we arrive there, I was thinking of buying either a damaged Sunburst or a wrecked SBR4. How about you?"
After many hours on the road, I'm back in Maine. I've gotten my job back, and I have to wake up early and drive their tomorrow.
Maybe damaged pessima with good engine and do engine swap to my project car I know that 1.8 can't hold turbo so I need better engine. Or damaged Bitron B2 I heard they are good. Or last maybe damaged beater and then I will have fun with it
My friend sent me these pictures earlier today. Yes, that's his Bolide. It was a hit-and-run, and the driver left their bumper at the scene. No injuries as far as everyone knows.
I'm going to go and have a fresh start back in East Coast - sold all my vehicles in Utah, and bought a LeGran Aerocoupe - it's a nice budget-friendly car. Looking at properties to rent, and heading off. After about 2 minutes of driving, I reach the highway. should arrive in west coast soon enough
I’m not really used to having to wake up early and spend the day looking at a computer monitor. Now that I’m back in the groove of it though I’m doing pretty well.
