Actually it's modelled hehe Progress: - main shell significantly rigified (the greenhouse and C pillar) - rear bumper jbeamed (based off sunburst) - doors made stronker and not much else, i should be studying for finals i made a xmas tree with it too
I've been following this thread for awhile. It's a really good job! very detailed. Can't wait to see it once it's released! Keep it up!
Thanks I have made some progress although I'm not posting it, mainly because I want to redo it. I'm giving you an interior render though. I'm quite busy studying but I plan to work on in-game materials and textures these days (that means optimizing all of the interior, a lot of work to do, but I am motivated). My plan is to mark some seams, unwrap all of the car at once, and bake the maps on it. If anyone experienced in this has tips, they will be very welcome, as I'm somewhat new to game texturing, so far I have only done visualization (renders). Also, I had been working on the safety of the car and how it deforms on accidents. I managed a clear improvement over the original miramar, but it is far from an ETK800. But as I have only been playing with numbers, randomly experimenting, I want to start from scratch and document every single change that i make so that I can keep track of the effects of every parameter. Again, any help with this is appreciated as I am not experienced with jbeam. (fortunately i have a decent understanding of physics and the concepts involved) cheers and happy new 2020
If you're unwrapping a high-poly model, try unwrapping a low-poly variant instead. It'll be less of a pain
move the object 2 units to the left/right, bake it and move it back. the hidden objects are interfering with your bake.
Also, project from view is your friend. Auto-unwrapping will generally yield the results you got there.
I liked the idea of it, but didn't like the execution. I wouldn't say it was inspiration but I was aware of the similarities as I was making it. But the idea is indeed similar
You don't like the execution?... Wow I love it! and it's a shame is just a concept car and never will be on sale. Is the most beautiful Peugeot ever made. I my opinion.
Not the past week as I had semester exams and now I'm recovering (I owe myself so much sleep), but I'll get on it again starting today or tomorrow, I fortunately have 2 weeks till the next semester
