The R-Class. I feel like despite being mutually ignored by the Mercedes Benz, German premium, and overall car communities, I have a bit of a soft spot for the awkward minivan. It's not the looker, but at the same time it isn't really that terrible either.

I seriously cannot get my head around the irrational love for the Citroen 2CV. It's pretty much the vehicular incarnation of a hipster, the versions that can actually reach normal highway speeds can barely do so, it's not even stylish, and it looks like it could collapse under its own weight. If I tried to make a car out of aluminum siding and plywood, that's what it would look like.

It's completely inadequate and incapable in any situation you can imagine, but modern car enthusiasts slobber over it for no apparent reason anyway.

I've hated the 2CV for years, ever since I realized that some people (i.e. smug car hipsters who think Top Gear's highly urban-centric, Eurocentric brain droppings on the subject of coolness are gospel truth) were capable of feeling emotions other than contempt for that worthless little pile of demon vomit molded into the shape of a car.

The Miata proved this quite well. I would personally consider driving characteristics to be more important than speed.

Any decent car can keep up with traffic if you don't try moving too much weight with it. Overload a subcompact with cargo, and yeah it is going to struggle.

 

Any decent car. That's really not a high bar, but some versions of the 2CV can't even do that much.
