Thank you for your work in restoring this mod to its former glory! The 800 Scalota was one of my favorite cars when I first started playing Beam.
I am very grateful to jerrie for fixing the engine and suspension, I was only able to fix the engine and suspension of the coupe. Without it, this mod could not have lived on. I also like this mod but I don't understand BeamNG modding very well. That's why it took so long.
youre welcome. this suspension was a bit harder to fix than other mods, and the windshield i helped, but it was you with the great idea to get the old 800. i cant do anything else, but i am exited rfor when this will be completely fixed good job.
Hei this is a new mod in beamng drive, here we can find the 0.16 and 0.17 version of the ETK 800 where the sedan mod still worked only thing we need is a early version of the mod and we can probably post the car , what do tou guys think ? https://www.beamng.com/resources/legacy-vehicle-pack.10861/ [UPDATE] So if you badly want to play with a OLD VERSIOON OF ETK 800 SEDAN you can download the legacyvechicle-pack and add on the etk800 folder this: https://www.beamng.com/resources/etk-800-sedan-fastback-coupe-cabrio.590/
I have the legacy pack. I'm wondering if I forgot to clear the cache or something. At my age, silly or just plain stupid mistakes are becoming the norm.
I have the Humble Bundle version. I haven't had a chance to try it again after clearing the cache, etc. Been too busy at work. I'll have another go of it the weekend. By the way, maybe I should have said "Senior Moment" instead of silly or stupid mistake. That's what my neighbor calls them!
You shouldn't have to clear the cache for it to work. I'm sure you know what to do already, but just in case here's some clear step-by-step instructions. Download the Legacy Pack. Download the 800 Sedan. Unpack the sedan mod in the mod manager. Click "Open in explorer." Follow the steps in this post: Rename the "etk800" folder to "etk800_old." Download the zip file included in this post and follow the instructions in the text document. Close the window. Go back to the mod manager and pack the mod. Everything should work just fine. It's important to note that the sedan and other vehicles will appear under the "ETK 800 Series (Legacy)" slot, not the standard "ETK 800 Series" slot.
That fixed it! THANK YOU! One of the steps I missed was unpacking the file. I had tried unzipping it, renaming the folder and then zipping it back up. Didn't work. I just did a few "victory donuts" with an 846 ttSport+. I'm gonna enjoy playing with this!
The mod is quite old, and is labeled with outdated, which means it may not work properly with the latest version.
The engine jbeam is in the common folder and the exhaust naming structure was changed at some point. That means that the exhausts custom made for the mod no longer show up in the parts selector. I think it'd be a pretty simple fix.
It's no big deal, really. It's more a visual problem than anything else. The car works just fine otherwise.
And a sound problem. The sound of a turbocharged I4 with no muffler or exhaust pipe gets annoying after a while.
