*sigh* windows update.... borrowing my mum's laptop she hasn't used in like 2 years... 100% cpu 100% disk uage for an hour straight. No respite. granted its a celery dual core 2.3ghz but still damn. It's a real bittersweet laptop. Beautiful smooth large touchpad, and a shitty 1366x768 screen.. Excellent keyboard, and terrible I/O.
It was meant as a joke. It actually runs beamng pretty well. It's an HP zbook workstation with a 4gb quadro m2000m.
Hopefully two months from now I'll be getting myself a new monitor. Figured I'd do some research now. Any suggestions? Not a monitor nerd, don't need anything insane, just a nice monitor for gaming/general use. Currently have a 24"; it'll be going about 6 inches further back than my current monitor so I'm looking for something a bit bigger but not crazy. Never used a curved monitor so I have no opinion on those. Also, I've never had a dual monitor set up but it's been a dream of mine forever. Any thoughts on tacking on a small monitor somehow as a secondary?
Get yourself an Acer XFA240. It needs a little color tweaking out of the box, but other than that it's fantastic. In terms of dual monitors, I can't recommend a dual-monitor setup enough. If you like to listen to youtube, talk to pals on discord, read off instructions for a game, listen to music or do research while doing literally anything else, It's such a lifesaver. I can't recommend them enough. In terms of actually buying that second monitor, Acer sells some pretty nice monitors for about $100 on Amazon. The XFA240 will run you around $150-200.
This week I've been plugging my gaming PC monitor into my school laptop to do some of my work on two monitors, it certainly is difficult going back to one monitor now. It's just an issue of finding room for two on/near my desk, I don't think my current set up of putting my laptop infront of the second monitor would work well with 2 full size monitors.
31.5x21.6 inches. When I actually find some time I plan on getting some measurements and maybe rearanging some furniture so I could fit a dual wall mount.
Can get some pretty good arms that clamp to the back of the desk to hold a monitor or 4. They've become standard new starter equipment at work now. Something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/1home-Ergo...ocphy=9044886&hvtargid=pla-349780784805&psc=1 Get them with longer poles and 4 arms. Get them with only one arm. Either way, pretty good for reducing desk space and a bit more flexible than having to wall mount
1. Go to Goodwill. 2. Find monitor for $20. 3. Play games at 1680x1050 for 5 years I am speaking from experience. upgrade later to a quadro xeon workstation with 40gb of ram
Hi there, I'm planning on upgrading my CPU in the (hopefully) near future. I'll probably get an Intel i7-9900. How many cars can I expect to run at once, paired with my RXT 2070? Currently I have an i7-4790k and with that I can run like 7-8 cars at about 30fps (@1440p).
Hello! I have an old stationary with the included specs in attachment. What can I do to make it better/ run beamng? Obviously graphics card sux, but I don't know much about what I can upgrade to! Help much appreciated!
Ok! Thanks for the tip! Will the CPU manage to run things ok or should that also be upgraded? If that's possible.
