Some time ago I started working on the next F1 car. Its name is FR2X, because I would like to update this car for future seasons, not just 2021. It has a completely new jbeam structure, I used all my experience and knowledge to create the best F1 mod in the game. The main target was the driving model, it's easy to drive on gamepad without assist and nice using a steering wheel. Damage model, sound and textures are still to improve. It needs some time, but it should be ready sooner than later. If you have any questions ask them.
ok first of all: HELL YEAH second, I'd like to say I already loved the FR16 and FR17/18 so I'm very much looking forward to driving this thing lastly, I have 2 questions: 1) will there be interchangable or removable earo parts (e.g. noses, wing elements etc.)? 2) will there still be that "flying/floating" glitch like the FR17 has? (don't get me wrong, I find it kinda funny)
This car is going to be fantastic! I can already tell. But one thing that hit me when i clicked on this thread is it's going to be an awesome year with two F1 2021 cars releasing. Competitions are going to be inevitable!
How about giving these f1 cars the actual kers hybrid stuff as we have seen the etk800 hybrid... Maybe add that to boost performance like real f1 cars? And also maybe an f1 2019 like you app which combines the hybrid the rpm, speed, etc together..
I don't think so. We have a different approach, I'm more strict to the F1 rules, he is making more of his own open-wheel car with a different engine, suspension, car dimensions looks smaller. Mine is based on Bolide jbeam, his is based on sbr4, so I can already tell there will be a significant difference to the driving model. I don't think there will be much sense to compare these two.
Yeah reasonable point there maybe one is more of a "Junior" class to the other, this being the Top class while the other is the "Support" class to the FR2X
Exactly, they will both be fairly different, however there will be no SBR4 components in my car, that was the original car that I started with, the one now is entirely custom. Btw, progress on this is looking nice, though you could add some more polys (especially around the air ducts as they are very prominent) to make the car more organic and streamlined. Best of luck, probably sounds like we are having a competition on this to a lot of people but they will definitely be different formulas/specifications of cars when released and not direct competitors. You might think that now but prepare to have your mind changed
Something about what you said there makes me think your planning on making your car as the completely unhinged from reality car while the FR2X is based in reality and is tame compared to your wild possessed car!
