I think the reason for the headlight thing is that they have the FOV set way lower, which could affect that. Or maybe they just used the magic dev headlights
Hang on a minute is this thing a 7 seater or is it just the angle. I also wonder when you take the door panel of will it be texture
indeed it is! I wonder if it will be a fullsize SUV with the LWB. Also don't forget: "And of course theres plenty more thats not yet been revealed... " I'm pretty sure the update is this month
Yeah looking again I’m thinking it’s seven seats as well. I wonder what else has to be revealed? Maybe an extended van... you think we might get some side doors and windows for the h-series with this update?
I have a question. Is this XL Roamer already in the game, or is going to be in the game when the next update rolls around? Exactly, I'm pretty sure the update will come this month. Maybe I'm wrong though.
If there's a god out there I'm praying to it that the XL roamer has all the offroad goodies and more that the regular roamer has.
Big boi Roamer and little Charro are lookin' sweet! The XL Roamer isn't in-game as a vanilla vehicle yet, but there is this old Roamer mod by Synsol that's basically a stock Roamer given a special rear-end treatment.
Interesting, looks like the XL Roamer has barn doors in the rear. I wonder if that's the only option, or if we can pick between those and a typical hatch.
So, if you look at the rear door on the LXT, its a completely different design to the standard roamer's rear door.. I wonder if that's a roamer-wide change, or just for the lengthened version?
My improved and more accurate list. Officially Confirmed: Cherrier Vivace Very Likely: D/H/Roamer Remake Part 2 AWD improvements for some cars, but not all as stated by the developers. Rollers Improved vehicle physics as always. Police lighting illuminating surroundings. Better Day/Night graphics/lighting. General fixes to the WIP lighting system. Some coastal map remaster, assumed to be Small Island, USA. Small Island's remake has been WIP since 2018, further supporting this theory. Although it is currently listed as a map set in Texas, the setting could potentially change. Bugfixes as always. Additional minor content as always. Possible: Port and Industrial Site, Remastered to go along with Small Island. They have been WIP since 2018, and could be considered "sister maps" to Small Island, as they were developed around the same time. Although they are currently listed as maps set in Texas, their settings could potentially change. They may be changed drastically to make each more distinct from the other, as they are currently very similar because at one point they were both the same map. Jungle Rock Island, Remastered as a potential "Major Remaster" like ECA and Utah were for 0.17 and 0.18 respectively. It is not shown in new promotional materials on the steam page, hinting that a remaster may be a work in progress. Although it is currently listed as a map set in Hawaii, the setting is very likely to change due to it not resembling Hawaii whatsoever. Southern Japan, Vietnam, and Taiwan are some potential settings, although the former is more likely in my opinion due to the existing JDM vehicles in the game. Police pursuit AI improvements, which were mentioned but not confirmed. Also, more police cars may be added to go alongside these improvements. Working streetlamps and night lighting, which were partially implemented in the Utah remaster, and could be a part of the improvements to the day and night cycle. Additional vehicle parts and such for misc vehicles, as Nadeox1 is now a content creator, and he seems to specialize in part making. Steering wheel centering, as teased by Diamondback, but he stated that it may not be added to the game if it is too buggy. Some progress towards career mode: There is unused LUA for a car dealership that seems to have shown up recently in the game files, and the Utah remaster has unused "parking space" items right near the car dealership, which could indicate that cars can be bought from there. Improbable: Soliad Wendover - No word on it, likely won't be released in the same update as the Vivace. New UI - Although it was teased ages ago, and even with the new loading screens being implemented in 0.18, the UI Frontend Developer position is still unfilled after over a year. On the topic of when the update will release, I'll be surprised if it releases before April, as most Spring updates are between early April and early May.
I have to say, I like the Roamer XL. And, I want to make sure I'm correct, is the Charro supposed to be like the Bronco?
The main Charro body was released in the first part of the D/H/Roamer revamp in 0.18 (it can be selected via going into Frame -> Short Frame on the D-Series), but the topper/camper shell and interior have not been added to the current Charro body.
The Charro seems to have a certain Bronco/Blazer influence involved - though I can't say for certain if either one ever had interior panelling on the tailgate. I'm most interested in the apparent barn doors on the Roamer XL and the fact that the Charro's rear glass appears to be opening with the 'O' button. I wonder if the latter will carry over to the existing truck bed cap. And for anyone who was curious, the Charro takes its name from a traditional Mexican style of horseman, roughly equivalent to the cowboy.
Pretty much. Both are unibody SUVs based on a medium duty truck with a bench seat thrown in the back. And the names... "Bronco" is a horse from the weatern US, and "Charro" is a Mecican cowboy. [YellowRusty answered this as I was typing it but I'm leaving it here anyway] As for his comment about the tailgate. Never seen a K5 Blazer with carpeted tailgate, I've seen some Broncos with and some without, no idea about the Ramchargers. I'm interested to see what they do to combat the UI issues with the D-Series once this is released. I hate to see anything unfairly shorted on content, but what other options are there to keep the current vehicle selector reasonable, being that there's no sign of any UI updates... As for probable trims, assuming they either find a way to have a lot of configs or just bite the bullet with the config spam... I assume the factory configs will mirror the current Roamer selection up to the XT 4WD, being that it is currently the only other Gavril SUV in game. Base model with an i6, mid trim with the 4.5, XT trim with the 5.5. There is precedent for the diesel, but I can't really imagine that as a factory option. There's also precedent for a big block, but the D-Series doesn't have one currently for whatever reason... Hopefully that will be fixed soon... As for special factory trims... Both the Roamer and Charro could see some luxury trim like the Chief Ranger. Almost all of the Gavrils have an RS now (petition for RS T & H Series here) so it would be weird to not see one on the Charro. As for a pop-culture reference... I don't think we need any OJ-mobile controversies... As for non-factory: It's a safe bet we will get an off road truck with a lift kit and big tires, hopefully similar style to the "D25 lifted" config since I love that 1980's off road truck aestetic. It looks like the Park Ranger will be converted to a Charro, and a standard police/sherrif truck is also a possibility. As crazy as it sounds, I have seen some drag trucks made from Bronco's of this era, and they did give the chassis mates drag configs, so that's possible too... I'll leave this with an image of one because I'm still surprised that they exist...
So basically the Gavril Roamer is the BeamNG universe equivalent to the Tahoe/Suburban lines. I wonder if we will ever see a late 90's Early 2000's D series at one point.
