In 2014. That was a long time ago and isn't written in stone.

True, but it's evidence nonetheless, and it's more reliable information than headcanon.

What exactly is headcannon about saying "we have a luxury marque of Gavril and may as well use it".

Pretty much none of the RoR/early BeamNG lore is cannon. Modern Gavrils, something like 20 concept vehicles, etc... It's more reasonable than not to group Burnside's defunct status with all of that than not.

I think before we ever get career someone should write up a guide for what would be the best value for money vehicles in the game.
I would say the Gavril Grand Marshall Sport might be one of them. You get quite a bit of kit for only slightly above 10k. especially considering the Road Sport is 8k dearer for nearly half a second of a faster 0-60 and it's heavier. the Pessima GTz is a great one too, Don't get me started on the Covet.

Can't someone just make an additional modification slot for a D15 or hopper suspension? I'm sure you'll run into many issues if you aim for pure realism but if you're waiting to see a vanilla monstertruck chassis, chances are that wait won't pay off

Don't be fooled by the automatically generated performance specs, when properly launched the RoadSport does 0-62mph in 5.5s.

I did some thinking (or perhaps overthinking) as usual about the next update. A couple things I realized.
    • Small Island, USA could wind up being set in the Outer Banks or other island chains off the east coast, as it is specifically said to be off the east coast of the USA in its description. The added sand and general look from what I assume is its remake further supports this.
    • There isn't much information regarding the settings of Port or Industrial Site and both are extremely generic. Hopefully this means they can take more creative liberties with their settings and maybe use this as an excuse to add locations/countries not yet seen in game, possibly even France to go along with the Vivace . Whatever they do, they need to make Port and Industrial Site feel very distinct and different from one another and other existing maps.
    • A JRI remake might not come this update. If JRI's remake is set in Japan, which would make more sense than Hawaii, it would make more sense to wait for various Japanese cars to get remade, as remakes would be the logical time to see JDM/RHD variants.
    • Completely contradicting the last statement, Small Island, Port, and Industrial Site are all much smaller maps, and it would be a bit odd to not have a "major map remake" like ECA or Utah in this update, and the only other "major map" to need a remake is JRI. (By "major map" I mean 2x2 km free roam based map)
    • In regards to all the above maps, they all have a lot of empty space that really needs to get used. Small Island is very empty and feels kind of dead in its current state. Industrial Site has a lot of empty space around the racetracks, and Port has even more empty space where the racetracks once were. Jungle Rock Island has tons of empty jungle and coastal areas where places of interest, towns/villages, and trails could be put. It would be amazing if JRI got the trail density that ECA got in its remake.
As always I could be totally wrong. I guess we just need to wait for the developers to announce more information on these map remakes, hopefully soon as we're probably a month away from the update at this point, assuming this update releases at the usual time.

JRI would have to go through some substantial layout changes to become a Japan map. I'd imagine a Japanese JRI would contain one or two small, coastal villages, a well-maintained airfield, and a large town nestled in the map's northeastern edge- not to mention the winding, curvy mountain passes this game has needed for so long.

It already has winding, curvy mountain passes. Some of the best in the game, in fact.

Tbh the JRI jungle feels very plastic and fake with green that looks very unnatural.

They do a really good job at remaking the foliage in the remasters, so I'd expect it to look a lot better.

Yes please. Imagine the crashing opportunities with the ladder and the equipment. Also I can already see the youtube videos... "Why you should not park in the way of an fire engine". SMASH..... ;)

    There is a mod:

    https://beamng.com/resources/articulated-frame-component-for-bus.3526/

Sadly, you cant use it much because it is to long for the bus stops.

I would also love to have an official bendy bus. Or a more modern bus in general.... Wentward feels very old.

Thats an interesting opinion because even though I love EV I find that the ESBR is not without handling issues, especially compared to the regular SBR. It feels quite unwilling to corner in comparsion.

The ESBR probably has some weight distribution issues first and foremost. The SBR is a rear engine rear wheel drive vehicle and when you turn it into a battery one.... I would assume you loose a lot of weight at the rear axle while adding some more to the front. The battery middle tunnel is probably nice but 2 additional battery parts sit somewhat higher. It also seems to have a pretty unforgiving suspension and the brutal instant power output of the electric motor make it hard to drive with a keyboard as your wheels struggle to deliver this power to the road, especially in single motor versions. It also has different front and rear wheel size.

While it has very hard to make it loose control due to ESC it only corners with significant understeer.

It is my hope that the Vivace, being probably a more classical front engine configuration and having a less stellar power output will handle better.

Since it is an ICE based battery vehicle, I would assume that it also uses the tunnel battery similar to the EBSR. Which is a bit regrettable because this will likely result in inferior handling compared to a skateboard type battery that is used by proper EVs.

I am also quite interested in the I3 engines. Modern ones like Fords 1,0 Ecoboost are surprisingly good.

Everyone says that the roamer is a full size, it makes sense, based on a large truck frame. However, in the game it is listed as a medium truck
