So believe in environmentalists' propaganda make you feel objective and competent? That's exactly what they wanted.
Modern cars are better in terms of handling and efficiency, up to a point. 90~00's vehicles are the best. The use of fuel-injection, independent suspention, ABS and stuff. Today's vehicle is worse because the lack of transparency, blackbox-ish ECU, fake ESC-OFF button are ruining vehicle's ownership, these cars no longer belongs to its owner. --- Post updated --- That's not corruption. That's simply more clicks = more money(advertisement and stuff). Publishing more climate change related stuff receives more clicks due to the Australian bush fire. More people focused in climate change, more money received. Deliberate fear mongering, saying something like "we're ruining this planet" make people panic. When people panic they (or us) are less clever and more impulsive. And corporate medias received even more money. We should pay extra attention not to blindly believe in what may make us think to change our behaviors. To avoid being psychologically manipulated.
4 door looks ugly without the roof and silver steel wheels with plastic hubcaps on the 2 door also ugly
It's also inappropriate to shove all the blame for pollution onto cars, because it isn't solely them. I suppose it must be inappropriate that I own 'x' amount of scale model cars because they're made out of various materials like ABS Plastic and Die-cast Metal and require fossil fuels to manufacture. Where the factory that makes them must pollute ten-fold the amount of cars parked down my street, and the boats they ship them out with taking their sweet time polluting all across the south pacific before I even get them. But no. Instead I'll just blame the A5 Diesel and Duratorq Fiesta parked right outside. There are also 'a ton of interesting things' that are interesting because they're "risky". I understand that people are often set in their ways, and for things like saving the environment that mindset is often really important. But forcing your opinion onto somebody, who was most probably heavily opposed to them to begin with, is the wrong way to go about it - It will most likely have the opposite affect and reaffirm the disagreement with your opinions. Though the case here is that you, who is stubborn and opinionated, have clashed with equally stubborn and opinionated users, but such is the internet. This is a motorcar based forum, any comments threatening that will likely be met with heavy backlash, and no amount of explaining, or in this case arguing, will help that.
This post is wonderful. This is a car thread. We could talk climate change on General Discussion instead. By the way, I have a question for you. What do you think of Lada Rivas?
My uncle owned a jet-black Riva, it was a fantastic little thing and the first Lada I'd ever heard of. Unfortunately though a Russian car was more of a novelty here in the UK and it was short on parts, so he ended up trading it in for a Vauxhall Cavalier. Personally, I really like the Riva and I'm amazed at how long they were actually produced for.
I have some interesting articles. Looks like we may have just received our best looks at the Ford Bronco and the Bronco Sport, the "Baby Bronco" as it was called. Whether or not this is actually it has yet to be confirmed, but it all seems very consistent. I went back and looked at the single headlight picture, and it looks to me like the headlights in the images all match. https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/future-cars/a31291380/2021-ford-bronco-undisguised-picture/ https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a31282091/2021-ford-bronco-sport-spied/ https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/a31281652/2021-ford-bronco-sport-spy-shots/ https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/2021-ford-bronco-revealed-leaked/ Yeah, if this is actually them, I think they look absolutely fantastic. Also came across this. Looks like we may also receive some kind of ute to replace the cars Ford Snapped. I like the idea of calling it the Ranchero. https://www.motortrend.com/news/ford-compact-unibody-pickup-truck-america-report/
Okay, I'll admit: that's actually a pretty decent design, compared to a lot of what they've put out recently. I'm still holding for now as I'm not 100% sure how I feel about it, but it does all seem to be a lot more... promising, to say the least.
My friend recently bought a Blazer. And I mean, the, uh, new SUV one, and I was like "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU GET" and he goes "Oh it looks nice theres nothing wrong with it." Wow, the fuck is wrong with people these days.
Better than I could have Imagined. Can Not wait to see one on the street, Hope they will sell them in RHD markets like the Mustang. Would definitely be better value than a first gen Bronco that's for sure.
Finally got a 360 on camera. The vid is my first attempts at getting sideways in an Optima. I spun it out once but after that I was able to hone in my skills some. Spent about half an hour thrashing it with slides and 360s. Kept it between the ditches mostly.
Watching Demuro's videos on some 2000's Bentlys... I don't understand them. My 2005 Jeep has Bluetooth with voice controls. Bentlys after this still had car phones. Why?.. Was it similar to analog clocks where they were just seen as a status symbol after their obselecence?..
