The Bolide needs a rework simmilar to the GM it needs more visual customisation (Targa,Front splitters, Spoilers, etc) it also needs more wheels as there are very few wheels that work on the bolide and most of them are too skinny to handle the bolides power limiting the selection further. The Bolide is the only rear engined super car in the game so it should have alot of customisation and configs to fill up the 'Super car niche (race AWD, rollcage, etc). This would make using the bolide more enjoyable as there would be more things you could do with it and in the current state it is quite boring.

 

AWD in a bolide? What are you, a forza player?
Well, i do agree, the parts are very lacking and it needs more things to make it race and rally ready.
maybe a rear lip spoiler would be nice, aswell as sidevents.

 

I've never played Forza I mostly suggested it as a way to make Bolide behave somewhat like a modern super car so you don't have to make an entierly new car (Think of it like the ESBR a stopgap measure to fill the electric car niche) and the Bolide is my most driven car and a race AWD would make it intresting to use.

 

Not to put a downer on the idea but I think the Bolide would need a lot more than AWD to behave like a more modern car. Lack of electronics and general chassis setup will always make it a handful.

That's like saying you want a Countach to handle like a F430. It doesn't really make sense and defeats the point of the car. It's rewarding to drive because it's a handful. Plus putting AWD and modern electronic aids into a 1980's Italian supercar doesn't make any sense. As a mod sure, but not officially.

The closest IRL thing I know of is the new Stratos, which is just a 430 with the middle sawzall'd out.

 

Well, the New Stratos is a modern car. Nothing to do with the actual Stratos other than the styling, vaguely reminiscent of the original.

Anyway, in 1987 Ferrari developed the "4RM" (4 Ruote Motrici) AWD system. It was showcased in the 408 4RM Berlinetta, but ultimately never came to fruition in a production vehicle before the Ferrari FF in 2011.



Similarly, the late '80s saw Porsche experimenting with AWD in the 961-based 959.

Civetta getting its feet wet as well and trying something new wouldn't be that unlikely...

Not the Bolide as is - the Bolide is too poorly-made to make a credible technology testbed anyway - but maybe it could serve as a base for some advanced concept car...

 

There are some weird marks on the bolides double stripe skin

 

That problem is on most bolide skins, as something about the textures is wrong.

 

If the Bolide does get remastered it should have more facelift options such as one with no pop-up head lights at all simmilar to the 'Bolide Corse' mod and one with more rounded lights on the pop-ups such as this: (The current Bolide lights are a little too square and don't really match the 'flow' of the design)
