I feel like they are just letting Ferrettank do whatever he wants and he's running around Beamng.HQ like a kid in a candy store with a crazed look in his eyes turning everything into an off road machine. And I'm okay with that. Just ignore the fact that he doesn't work at HQ... Or anyone for that matter right now.
Given the caption on their Instagram post, it's definitely designed more as a crawler than a trophy truck: "All we can say about this one is that it rocks" --- Post updated --- I do really like the dovenose and truggy bed though.
The body panels that actually can be mostly made out look great, I certainly hope to see analogous parts for the standard truck in the same way that some of the new Hopper bits come in crawler/cut and standard flavors, though it would be more involved this time around due to the different shape of the nose. As for the truggy or crawler debate: Considering how fast the crawler Hopper is, I'd say this probably will be more of a hybrid too.
This update is gonna be BIG Roamer LXT Charro Vivace New parts for the H series Possibly revamped maps ????????????
I can't believe I didn't realize that was the perspective! I thought it was just showing parts that were changed, not a full on view from the top!
I wonder if it will replace the existing pig configuration, if it is an improved version. The replacement would make sense as there is no reason for two pig configs. But judging by the window nets, this is probably going to be a baja/prerunner style truck.
I always thought of the pig as more of a backyard build, while this looks more like a professionally built and engineered one. I think they serve different purposes. Kinda like how the hopper still has the custom config, which is like a lower tier version of the crawler.
It's likely going to be the same thing as the Hopper "Crawler," which is more than just a crawler itself. They are both set up as desert race vehicles meant to compete in Ultra4 races and such, where a combination of crawling and fast driving are both exercised. As for the Pig and this, well, they're going to be two totally different beasts. Due to this I hope they don't get rid of the Pig, and I don't really see it happening in the first place. Where the Pig is very bare-bones, budget oriented, and rudimentary, this will be a high-dollar and really refined vehicle.
interesting vehicle, I would want to say that's a prerunner to me but I don't really understand the angled bodywork because afaik, every prerunner type vehicle I remember seeing has had parallel hood edges.
I sincerely want a Civetta 3.9L in an off road spec D-Series just so that the first Civetta powered off road vehicle isn't a Bolide.
