Hey all, I made a few new parts, and fixed the Powerglow Skin for this van. Anyone interested/will I get in trouble for uploading a fix?
Another progress update I've been working on new configs for Kashira. Some people wanted to see police variants so, here we go! European Configs US Configs Japanese Police Config will come soon too. I mentioned that one earlier Work Package Also I fixed broken alpha on few skins Added AWS suspension with custom lua for it. Below 90 km/h rear wheels steering to the opposite side, above, to the same side as front wheels. @Ezo updated his JDM stuff as well. New dark headlights and sunroof deflector @Nekkit added some engine swaps if you need something more powerful Bluebuck engines somehow fit Kashira's engine bay In addition I added fasteners, and fixed some smaller bugs. More will come soon™ Stay tuned
ayyy, i remember suggesting aws and a mitsubishi delica-like mild offroad variant ages ago and soon we shall have both im also pretty excited to be able to do drag races with random similar performance cars, always slightly saddened me that this mod broke it just noticed the rhd, sweet
Hey y'all! I hope everyone is doing ok during these stressful and uncertain times. Unfortunately, I don't have too much progress to show this time because I managed to corrupt the one and only dae file I had with the new UV maps and had to redo them from scratch. Granted, they are significantly higher quality this time around, as I learned some tricks while making the first UV maps, but it still sucked to have to redo all that work. I also made sure to actually save backups of my work this time, because I really don't have to deal with this again... X3 So basically every part has proper skin UVs now! There are still a few new parts that I'll need to do, but that's shouldn't be much work at all. I'm so glad to be pretty much done with UVs, because they are an absolute PAIN to work with. There are definitely still a couple spots where the alignment of parts is ever-so-slightly off, but it should be very hard to notice unless you're looking for it. Also I'd like to truly express my gratitude for @Car_Killer, @Ezo, @Ai'Torror, @Nekkit, @TrackpadUser, and everyone else on Team Kashira (name pending) who have been working on the Kashira to make it as high-quality and detailed as possible. I never would've thought that the badly-scaled Pessima that this started out as over two years ago would turn into anything remotely as complex as the current Kashira, and I owe that completely to the aid, direction, and support from fellow modders and minivan-connoisseurs, and the constant support from this community. Y'all are truly awesome. <3 We've fixed the lua issues that were causing that, so it hopefully won't be an issue for much longer, hehe. Ooh, good idea. We can definitely see about that.
can you do a camper esqe version for me? Maybe with a pop up tent and caravan parts, and a lift and big tyres?
There's already a lifted version, with bull bars and you can put a roof rack and one of those roof thingies that hold stuff
I'm sure I brought this up on a previous occasion, but I seem to recall myself saying something about the Kashira's rear suspension having a tendency to hop like a touring car when going around a corner.
Basically that XD But some better examples, on the rally-asphalt config, and the track config, if you went slow enough and had enough steering input, it would two wheel, and in some cases, roll over. Edit: I've had a word with a former racecar driver friend of mine, and he reckons that the damping is too soft and the springs are too stiff. I am aware that it's not meant to be a sports car, but that's what I think needs tweaking.
It is being looked at, also keep in mind that this is a minivan... So high center of gravity and less than ideal body in general for racing.
Yeah, I am physically aware it's a minivan... it's just that hopping does make it very funny and dangerous XD
I believe that the jbeam got butchered when they transplanted it from the pessima, hence why the og van had alignment issues.
