If we're talking about engine models and textures, allow me to show off some of the greatest ingame: In all seriousness, I highly doubt that anyone would oppose 0.20 just being an update focused on bringing older vehicles ('96 Pessima and earlier) up to par with the newer ones in terms of graphics. The textures on some of these cars is almost comically bad (underbodies, lights, and radiators especially), and the models tend to be lower-poly with less details (brake lines, rear interior panels in coupes, visors, etc.) as well. After seeing the Bluebuck, it's kind of hard to believe that some of the cars are even from the same game.
Don't forget how the model for the Bolide's powertrain has not been updated either. All 3 engines use the same mesh and changing the intakes have no visual effect. Although the I6 should be prioritized since it is a shared engine and the following cars to be revamped (besides H-Series) is either the Bolide or the Covet, being the oldest cars to not have been heavily updated in this manner. Also that multiple cars would later on will receive updates such as ability to rip off radiator support frames and inner fenders like the Grand Marshal (and for the Bolide a body that can be ripped off of its chassis?) so then they'll receive various visual updates. if sunburst gets revamped deformation maybe then we'll see finished rear door panels
despite the recent 3d model updates the covet needs deesperately an update. the jbeam is good but the model is low poly, the engine looks like it's from gta 5 (like shown above), the best(worst) part are the doors without the door pannel, the trunk carpet, the fire-wall and the underside of the car.
I agree with you entirely, while it does have gained new parts over the years, it hasn't had any general "remasters".
Engines, frames, and headliners could use a texture update on many cars. The older cars just have a void where the ceiling should be in the interior... Refer to my previous post for example.
wait a second is the Roamer XT just a trim of the Roamer or will the Roamer XT have it’s own trim levels
The last major teaser we've seen was last Wednesday, so I guess that the update may close enough that they've stopped posting teasers. I suspect that the next ones that we will see may be pre-update trailers like the ones before 0.15 and 0.17. I suspect that the update will come sometime next week as it is the week before Easter, and many updates come before holidays.
The update will definitely be in 2 weeks, 3 seems to long, although possible. 4 will not happen although I think we will get some teasers over the weekend, or next week.
What I would like to see... Well, I would like some 700 maps, 2500 vehicles, and about 150,000 configs.
Introducing Update 0.19! Changelog: -700 maps, where each map is 1mm^3 of ocean. Water is a slightly different color in each. -2500 vehicles, where each is just a renamed Ibishu Pigeon -150,000 configs, where each is a Track Ibishu Miramar but the number on the door is different on each
The bolide has been the same since it released, besides very minor changes in 2015 or 16. I'm surprised they kept it without updates this long.
i hope that nadeox1 doesn’t april fools us with a fake update announcement because that will send the hype train into space and then crashing down into the ground
I have a cool idea for a funny April Fools update... Maybe a new Civetta... but as a tractor? It could be the first tractor in-game (if you don't count the T-series as one)
