It's small in comparison to the regular Burnside (shorter wheelbase, smaller roof)

Official Press Release - Autobello Group (ABG) - January 12, 2021

Today, CEO Mario Bastiani of the Autobello Group announced plans to reintroduce the Cherrier marque to the United States as early as June. This comes as the auto magnate is still reeling from the effects of last year's coronavirus pandemic - by expanding into a new market, they say, they can recover some of their losses from the start of the recession. They will introduce one model to start - the Citysport, known as the Tograc in France.

The entry-level model will feature a turbocharged 1-liter inline three engine with a six-speed manual transmission only. Marketing director Maurice Jean-Paul: "We are really aiming this model at Generation Z, who for the first time are buying their own cars. They are looking for something a little sportier, more fun than their parents' CUV, but with similar utility and the same, maybe better fuel economy, more tech, and without too much cost." When asked about the decision to go manual-only, he replied: "Yes, it is a risk, but it is something you don't see every day. Cherrier is all about that, the unique, the variety."

The mid-range model bumps up to a 1.5-liter inline four and adds a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Engineering director Laura Arnette: "We think Americans will enjoy the torque that comes with our turbocharged, direct-injected engines. We have perfected our techniques in creating motors that are smooth, reliable, efficient. The Cherrier of 1985 is no more."

    screenshot_2020-04-08_16-47-46.png screenshot_2020-04-08_16-48-02.png

Arnette: "America is afraid of the diesel; we want to change that. We are adventurous, and for the adventurous, we bring the first new diesel-powered small car [in America] for several years: the Citysport Activ. We fitted terrain-ready lifted suspension and true four-wheel drive to the Citysport to make a more capable vehicle in any condition." The Activ's 1.6-liter turbo diesel engine boasts the best fuel efficiency, and lowest CO2 per mile, of any non-electric CUV currently available in the US.

Jean-Paul: "Climate is something we are very passionate about, especially the youngsters - it is certainly the challenge of the decade, maybe even the century, but I think we are more than prepared to meet it." The top-of-the-line model is exclusively electric, featuring dual motors and a 75 kWh battery pack. "By bringing together futuristic looks and future-proof power," he notes, "we have created what is sure to be a timeless vehicle - this time, we are not making disposable cars!"

Time will tell whether Cherrier succeeds in marketing to American buyers - who have hopefully forgotten the reliability problems that plagued French vehicles the last time they were available in the States.

The year is 2030. COVID-19, despacitovirus and Spanish Flu 2: Electric Boogaloo have all come and gone. Half-Life 4: Episode 3 was just released. There are more Cherrier FCV-cars in junkyards than on the roads. Seems they went the way of the NJ-body Bruckells, hugely innovative for their time but worth less than their weight in scrap metal nowadays.

I went to the park after work to feed the pigeons a stale baguette I had laying around, was having a pretty nice time.

Then this absolute chad comes around

MFer literally stole the entire baguette from the rest of the group

They all flew away after the baguette, and I got pretty lonely.

Hats off to the devs, they yet again outdid themselves and knocked it out of the park for the umpteenth time in a row!
