Ever since the update yesterday my game has been stuttering (50+ frame drops every 15 seconds), takes forever to load up a map and car, and takes forever to install parts in the part selector. Load times are HORRIBLE now

ALL of my settings are the same, which is set to highest everything, 1080p @ 144hz. Nvidia drivers are up to date. I also don't even have a dedicated GPU

It's so unplayable right now and it makes me sad :/

    My hardware:
    RAM: 32gb
    GPU: 2080TI
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900x
    Installed on SSD

Is it locking up and not responding? Check what the RAM is doing while you play.

I've seen this a lot. It seems to be happening to a lot of us. Does this happen with the Cherrier more than other vehicles? Also, what maps are you using your vehicles on? So far, I've tested Italy and East Coast USA and those are unplayable for me. Small Island and Utah run better, but they're still pretty bad. It only started happening after the update, too, for me.

I aswell am a victim of this update. Rather mine is a bit different....
It happens when I play on vanilla maps, and downloaded maps. When I load in, there is not a single sound, as if my computer is muted... which it's not. If I try to move the wheels, nothing. Engine won't run, car won't respawn, car won't run! Super weird! I have no idea what could've happened, but I know this has never happened to me before, but only after this update. Beam.NG was running perfect just 3 days ago! What the hell?!?!

P.S. this happens with every car I've tried to load in. Also, the gauge/UI doesn't work, and acts as if there is no engine in the car.
(if you would like to request footage or a picture of my problem, I'd be happy to provide)

This can be caused by a broken/outdated mods.

Please disable all your mods / use Safe Mode (Launcher > Support Tools) and check again.
If the issue does not persists, you need to find the broken mod and either remove it or keep it disabled.

If the issue persists, please perform a Clean Reinstall of the game:
    https://wiki.beamng.com/BeamNG_FAQ#How_do_I_perform_a_clean_reinstall.3F
That will make sure you have no broken/corrupt files or mod left-over on your installation.
Please make sure to not skip any step.

Thank yo uso much, this fixed the game, AND I got to clean up some space from my mods folder, hehe. 140 something mods to 66! And now the game runs perfectly and faster! Thank again for the help.

I apologize, I have been very busy with work and forgot to check this. Yes, it is indeed on ALL vanilla maps and mod maps. I have started the game up in Safe Mode but it still runs like crap for 5 mins. After 5 mins, it will run better for a little bit, but then start running poorly again. Safe mode also did not fix the horrible load times. Still takes a total of 45 seconds to a minute to fully load in textures. During that load in time I can still drive around, even when I can't see my car. Before the update it only took a maximum of 30 seconds, on large maps to be more specific, to load in. (I'm not including the load screen times, I'm only talking about the time from map first loading in after load screen.)
