The truck platform was the case of making the most of what we have, the Bluebuck is a more performance-oriented vehicle than the Burnside or Moonhawk, and the new Pessima at least brought something new to the table. Meanwhile, the Wendover will be a lot of work to make basically what we have right now once again.
who says the wendover won't have a digi dash, folding convertible top, and an electronic voice alert system?
So the Roamer is pointless. It drives exactly like a D-Series... because under the dubiously restyled skin it's the very same thing, just a little longer. We don't know what the Wendover will be like. The parallel with the H and A platforms only surfaced because the Wendover was originally meant to share engine options with the LeGran. We don't even know if that's the case anymore... Different size, tuning and vehicle-specific content can make a big difference. And even if they ultimately don't... well, vehicle selector is currently overflowing with overlapping or redundant options. By the same reasoning, they could have implemented hydraulics directly with the remastered Grand Marshal instead, we didn't really need yet another classic V8 sedan just to introduce the game reinterpretation of one of the most retarded chassis designs in automotive history...
I... I think it's just a platform code... Not much to read into there. "First Cherrier Vehicle" if anything
The Roamer was at least using the same frame, only having different bodywork, and the Bluebuck represents a whole different point in fullsize car design. Plus, the Roamer was made when the devs could actually make a car quickly.
I'd like to see the Wendover take inspiration from the likes of the Cadillac Edorado. Now that would be fun to see. Big, boaty 80's American luxury with a big V8 driving the front wheels. It would fit well with the new motif gabester is going for, as well as the original design intentions of the car. "There’s something strangely alluring about horrible 80s American cars, especially the big boaty ones with sporting pretensions. The Soliad Wendover is exactly that – heavy, ugly, and shaped like a wedge. Its ancient cast-iron V6 V8 is barely enough motivation even with a supercharger. This car wishes it was cooler than it actually is."
The Wendover should take ideas from Dodge Charger of the 80s and the next hotfix will make some buttons more showing
i totally would not mind if the devs would just redo the wendover. the game does not have many vehicles, so diversity is a priority.
So destroy that idea! LeGran fit this category perfectly (just make coupe version of it and voila). I personally would change Wendover into luxury car that has strange ideas like Lagonda. OR Make Wendover first car in game that have both FWD and RWD with a lot of different engine options just for the sake of having more options. Like I said long time ago. Right now we don't have that much unique cars to have another one boring, mediocre and vague just for sake of having a "new car" in the game. It would be fine if we get more derby-fit cars but first, we have plenty of them and second, we don't have enough of "competitors" for others.
The cars were supposed to be realistic too, not tweaked for the sake of gameplay. But given the size of engines the post-Gabester team had put in the Piccolina, I'm starting to lose my faith in them...
No the devs are still doing realistic vehicles the bluebuck was realistic and gabester is still supervising
